[Resolved]  Olympus — Defective Product No Support from Service Centre

Dear Sir

I have purchased a Olympus Fe310 Camera on 04th May 2008 (Sr. No. Y[protected], from Central Camera, Fort, Mumbai, India.
The camera become defective after 16 days from the purchase date.
I have given camera to service centre at Camera care Centre, DN Road Mumbai - 400001 on 21st May 2008 and was repaired unsatisfactory, so again given for repiars vide their receipt no. 245 dt 23 May 2008. The camera service centre is asking for another 02 weeks for repairs.

I am totally un-happy with your service as well as product.
Please do the needful as soon as possible.

Since this is second mail from my side and in last 48 Hours there is no reply / mail from your end so I am pretty nervous. I think that customer support is to be taken care of...

I purchased an olympus camera 6 months back and accedentally the glass on the display was broken so how can i get the glass repaired and where can i get the glass repaired/replaced. I am staying in mumbai so please let me know the address of theservice center or some camra care center ASAP

I have purchased olympus camera from london 0n 12th, May, 2008.
I have used for three to four days. on 17th May 2008 it could not worked at all.I wanted to contact to shop keeper bus as I had to depart London India on 18th May 2008, I could not contact him, because I have trust on International warrentee Card which I got with camera.

After that, I sent so many e-mail to olympus cistomer camera.out of that I got only one reply saying that"YOU WILL BE CONTACTED SOON" but, it's been about two months.I got no reply.

I feel very agrived from this olympus camera company.
I think it is all my mistake that, I have put trust on this olympus company.

We purchased an Olympus F130 last year. Shortly after the one year warranty was up the camera now says the Card Cover is open. Olympus wants $73 to look at it and probably repair it which is ridiculous. The camera was only $130 to begin with. They didn't reply to my emails and were very unhelpful over the phone. On top of that my husband expensive 4 year old camera does not handle the new cards that are being made. When something happens to the two he has, he will have to buy another camera. It will not be an Olympus
my Olympus digital cam was a problem, when i go to the dealer he is not responding to me, my cam the lens were struct he did not help to me.
i asked where the Olympus service centers he didn'ttel any answer

I am us using a c-5500 zoom. But due to mishandling i broke its display. now, theres a crack through out the screen.
Secondly, theres a loose connection in flash pop-up.
i juz want 2 knw wat will b d appox amt 2 repair both d problems.

I have purchased an olympus camera FE210 from Saudi Arab where i use to work earlier and i directly got it to India but when i came to India i came to know that the camera is defective it keeps on showing low battery inspite of putting charged batteries in it, its still in the warranty period and i have a worldwide warranty with it, so can u send me the record of the available service centres in Mumbai .

my ollympus digital camera fe150s, some fault in that pls how to clear the fault, the camera in on condition it directly its showing card format need yes/no? if we put yes .it showing again card format only.now we can't take stills .if we choose no means its power off the camera.why what happen to rectify this? pls clear my queries.

I am having an olympus fe100 camera from where i will get serviceat Delhi
I brought a an Olympus FE 170 camera in Mumbai last year and is just out of waranty. I have used the Camera only 5 to 6 times and have handled it very carefully, even storing it along with Silica gel mositure absorber.
In spite of extreme good handling the camera LCD displays hazy lines after few minutes of being on.
I had an option of buying a Canon or a Nikon but stuck to Olympus because of the price points and now am regretting that I havent brought competion products which were slightly expensive but more robust and reliable.
I have taken it to on of the authorized service centre in Mumbai (Kashish Photo Vision) who is charging me Rs. 1900/- (Rs.1600/- for the spare and Rs. 300/- for Service charges) for the CCD spare which has apparantly gone defective.
It is unbelivable that a sparingly used camera can go defective. So much for Olympus Quality control, and I am 100 % sure never to buy an olympus product again.

I h0ve had the exact same camera with the same problem 2 times. The first one mysteriously had a broken screen on a vacation trip. I called olympus they said it would cost around 100.00 to fix. No after that I got another fe-310 took it out of the box and the screen on it is also cracked. I won't pay a dime to fix it and If Olympus won't repair it. Not only won't I stop buying their cameras, I'll give them tons of bad advertising. I am sick of buying good items that turn out to be disposable.
I have purchased a Ulympus Camera (FE-310, Sl. No. Y[protected] on 13.08.2008 from Dass Studios, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The camera developed some problem in connecting/downloading to the computer. The Camera alongwith the data cable were given to Service Centre (Vision Solutions, New Delhi) vide Job Order No. 1380 on 27.12.2008. The Service Centre was contacted several times on phone and everytime they informed that they will call me back. But they never did so. On 5.1.2009, when I contacted the Service Centre, it was informed that the camara had been repaired and put on testing and by 5.00 pm they would call me back. But no response was received on 5.1.09. Finally, after 10 days, on 6.1.2009, on enquiry on phone, I was suddenly informed that due to mis-handling the socket got damaged and, therefore, the mother board is required to be replaced, which does not come under warranty as the damage was due to mis-handling. They are demanding Rs. 2500/- for the repair as mis-handling does not come under warranty.

I don't accept the argument that due to mis-handling the socket got damaged, as I never forced the code to the socket as I am very well aware that it is a delicate item. Secondly, I doubt the attitude of the Service Centre as they have taken 10 days to come to the conclusion that due to mis-handling the socket is damaged. I strongly feel that it is either mis-handled by the Service Centre or they are trying to make money and malign the reputation of the Company.

It is, therefore, requested to kindly look into the matter and instruct the Service Centre to repair the camara under warranty and return the same at the earliest.

I purchased the camera 1 year back. Now to take a picture after taking one day, i have to formate the camera first then it allow me to take pics.

How can be it solved ???
