[Resolved]  Onida Truslim 29 " T.v — defective T.Vs

1)Purchased 29" Onida TruSlim T.V on 8/6/08.
2)On 16/8/08 T.V became dead, niether picture nor sound
3)On 18th june onida service engineer visited but failed to rectify the defect.
4) On 26th june Shri Kapil Mathur informed that no replacement is available in the warehouse.He informed that he was trying to find out if any dealer a piece.Replacement was sent on 26th june itself.
5)The T.V sent was not factory packed, was in loose packing and was full of dust.Wire were bulging out at the left hand bottom of the T.V.After installation of T.V it failed to function &channels were not changing with remote.
6)Service engineer visited on 27th june and rectified the efect.The replaced T.V started giving trouble .Picture got elongated both ways, horizontally & vertically.
7)Service Engineer visted on 25th &28th July but failed to rectify the defect.
8) contacted Brijesh Shukla and Williams Sales Executives of Onida Delhi office for replacement but both informed that no replacemt is available any where in India.They promised to refund the cost of the T.V.
9) Afterr few days when I contacted Shree Williamshe informed that no money will be refunded.
10) I contacted the dealer on 29th august who in turn contacted Shree Brijesh Shukla and promised me that he will give me a Samsung T.V of my choice in return of the Onida T.V .
11)Ipaid him Rs.700 as the difference in cost between the 2 T.Vs and he promised to install the T.V on 20th august.
12) When no T.V was delivered upto 20th septenber even though he was having 3 pieces of the model I wanted.I asked him to deliver my money which he did.
13)BOTH THE T.VS SUPPLIED BY THE ONIDA COMPANY ARE NOT REALLY 29" T.VS BUT ARE 27".
14)Ihave filled a complaint in the CONSUMER FORUM at Delhi as I was tired of being harassed mentally, physically & financially.

I completely agree with you on this TV. Even i brough 29 Truslim in bangalore during nov 08. From the begining even if the TV is switched off it use to make conitnous noise for hours, after several compalints & visits Onidia agreed it as a manufacturing defect. During march 09 i got a new set replaced by onida, now it is july this new piece has some problems from yesterday. the commonds from remote is tottaly not matching with the actions of TV, even if we use the mannual buttons on TV it behaves crazy. It looks it has some serious software problem. It looks this is a complete flop model & has problems through out india.
Pleas let us know if you need any evidence for the same at delhi consumer court.
Also onida has chceated the customer by selling it as a 29 incgh TV where as it is less. I think onida should honesly recall this TV & Pay back money to the consumers.I request you to Please raise this at conumer court
Onida is a fraud company. Never buy Onida TVs. Buy Samsung, buy LG, buy Panasonic, but never Onida.
I bought a Onida 29" TruSlim too. The TV has been sitting in a corner as a paperweight for more than a year now. The picture quality is BAD... images get distorted on the sides, when there is a white area in the picture, that area comes with disturbance lines, and gets extended over the surrounding areas.
The Component In port never worked. I had to use the AV in port for playing my DVD.

ONIDA is a fraud company. Never buy Onida products

my app no is 3373586,UPFCH NO-564 vat no [protected],dated-31.7.2011 purchased one combined pack of godrej ref+onida m/0ven+timex wrist watch{2} but onida m/0ven yet not delivered on date though chased several times but no rply from the store.it was promised to deliver all the products within 2 days....it was purchased from uttarpara ,hooghly great eastern appliancs pvt.ltd.......
Even I am agree with you all regarding the poor quality of Onida products.. I too purchased Onida 29" TruSLIM 1 year 10 months back but it started giving problem since warranty period.

Images get distorted on the sides, when there is a white area in the picture, that area comes with disturbance lines, and gets extended over the surrounding areas. I repaired it lot of times but all in Vein.

I hope if Onida personal is looking into this complaint they should get aware about their product poor quality and service.
