[Resolved] Ortel Communications Ltd./ortel Economy Plu — Fraudulent disconnection of broadband connection | |
Our Consumer no. is 282167 for Ortel Broadband User. Our broadband connectivity was autocapped as per Ortel custmer care executive on 18.08.2009 as we had exhausted our download limit of 2.5GB. We made a payment of Rs.250/- for additional 300MB @ Rs.0.75 per MB vide receit no. 12756 on 25.08.09 at 10:40 a.m. Ortel activated the connection at 06:20 p.m. after several complaints. On 26.08.09 the connection got autocapped at 10:15 a.m. After several phone calls to Ortel consumer care they replied that we have exhausted 300MB limit, where as we are dead sure that we have not used more than 50MB. Further enquiring into the matter with the Customer care executive, they said that there was a balance of 222MB previously uncharged which was adjusted with the 300MB. Now we do not have any mechanism to verify how many MB of data we have downloaded, and Ortel is insisting for addition payment for extra MBs.
