what does this mean. Please tell me ....

Hi,

I have applied for renewal of my passport on Dec 15, 2009 but till now i haven't received my passport.

In passport website, from past 1month the same status "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week9s time". is getting displayed. Couple of mails have been sent but still there is no response on the passport.

Please look into it and do the needful at the earliest.

Its been a month still the status of the passport says on web site "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time ". Its very urgent to submit the passport in company, as they (Infosys) are deducting Rs:1000/- for non submitting of passport.

Police verification done, till today not received my passport copy.

Here in this forum, lots of other people are also facing the same problem it seems, and have lodged their complaints respectively, so here is the request from all of them please let us the what's the exact problem in the process and how much time it will take to reach the passport copies to us...

Dear Sir,

I have applied for passport on 05-10-10 and my file number is HYD - W[protected], Hyderabad. Police verification also done successfully but till date i did not received my passport copy.

The passport status page in the website is showing "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the dispatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be dispatched in a week's time" from 17 Dec 2010 onwards.

As i came across many others also facing the same problem it seems, so dear team of passport official, its a request from all of them that let us know what is the problem behind and how much more time it will take to reach the passport copy to each of them respectively...

Passport Services — Non issue of Passport (applied in 2009)

Dear Sir,

I had applied for passport in 2008 December.
Passport file number : B02330309

The status of the application when I check it online is : Your file is in line for further processing

THE STATUS HAS NOT CHANGED SINCE 2 YEARS...

I am a student and Passport is mandatory for applying jobs and for further studies..

I would be really glad if someone took a note of this and helped me out in this case.

This is a common problem & every one should be happy after knowing that very soon passport issuing process is going to be privatized after which such complaints shall reduce automatically.

To know the current status of your application file an RTI application you may get your passport.

I have given in writing as I am working in Chennai. Nature of work is like working for a week or atmost for 10 days in a month, whenever the employing concern faces time-shortage in completing scheduled contracts in time. That too for the last four or five months, having no such work, I am idle. Hence my residence is Tirunelveli only, as I have given in the application form.
Moreover, I don`t find any reason to suppress my present address. I am not given any chance to give any explanation about my work. Kindly advise me what I should do to get the correction made in my passport as required.
