[Resolved]  Pepe Jeans — Packed shirt which was defective and now the staff which threatens me by saying that Pepe exchange policies are rubbish.

Hi,my name is sohail virani and i have a complaint to make about the unprofessional behavior of your staff in Inorbit goregaon store.
I had purchased a shirt,which is style (WOMBAT) and worth Rs 1499/- on 20/09/09 from your goregaon inorbit store.I had taken a packed shirt while i had tried the sample shirts which were hanging on your shelves so there was no point in checking the packed shirt given by your staff which was a mistake on my side.I had purchased this shirt for Eid and to my surprise when i opened the packed shirt to wear i found that the shirt was torn from 2 sides (back and front) and the torn part was barely visible .It was not possible for me to come back on Eid to return the shirt so i went the next day for an exchange.
First i spoke to a staff named Sandeep who was very polite with me in the begining and told me that our manager is not in the store and he has gone out with some personal work and we are not authorised to change the shirt,so i was asked to come after 1 hour.I stay in mira road and it was not possible for me to go back and come in 1 hour so i requested him to call the manager and let me talk to him...which he did but i was not given the phone since the manager insisted me to come after one hour and the message was conveyed to me by Mr.Sandeep.Then we had an argument when Mr. Sandeep tells me that 1499/- is not a big amount for me and i will get it exchanged for you and deliver it to your house in mira rd. so he asked me to leave..I still insisted to talk to the manager but he still refused..I was then ready to wait for one hour which i did by spending time in Pizza hut which is in the same building top floor..After spending one hour i went back to the store and i found the manager Mr. Salim as mentioned by them but im not sure if its his actual name.
I spoke to the manager and he was all ready for a reply i guess cause as soon as i met him he told me that i had torn the shirt and since their stocks are checked in the store it is not possible that it can be torn and he told me that i was at fault since i had not checked the packed piece before making the bill.
After making him understand that m not a maniac to tear my own shirt which i had to wear for Eid which is costing Rs1499/- ,he understood and then he was ready to cooperate ,where he told me that i will try my best to get this shirt exchanged and get a new one for you.He told me that Pepe Exchange policies are rubbish so i will try my best to get it done where i felt better and i felt that he was doing some justice to my pockets.I got a recipt from Mr. manager and i lest the defective shirt in the store.
The next day that is today i received a call from Mr. Altaf who calls himself the store manager from your goregaon store phone number-[protected] and spoke to me very rudely saying that there was no need to fill the complaint book in the store and that he would not exchange the shirt for me since i have torn the shirt and he clearly mentioned that my Rs1499/- is wasted and that i should come to their store in goregaon to collect the defective shirt.I asked him to again hand the phone to the manager,when he told me that im the manager of this store,so i was really confused if Mr.Salim was the manager or Mr. Altaf was the manager.
He also added that i behaved very rude with his staff the day before and i had the guts to write a compaint in the suggestion book which was kept on the counter and i would not get any exchange.He repetedly kept on saying that i took a blade and tore the shirt.This was the most unprossional behavior by your staff since it clearly indicated that i have done a mistake by purchasing a shirt from Pepe store and i should never commit this mistake again.He also added that even the Head Office guyz wont be able to do anythin since im the incharge of the store and no goods will move out of my store without my consent.
The so called manager of the store has still not spoken to me and im so sorry to say but you guys hav hired goons and not staff for your store since they have no manners to talk to your customers and they think that i would just walk away thinkin that my money is a waste..Im sorry to say this but i want a quick feedback on my mail and an immediate action and an apology from all the three staff that i have mentioned above or else i will be compelled to take this case further.
I have the bill stored with me and the bill number is SA9/6069 date 20/09/09 CST number-[protected]C.I have clearly read your exchange policy which stated that i should have the tag preserved which i did and that exchange is done only within 15 days and i have come within 3 days and i have also shown them the Bill and i have also received a receipt from the manager that he has my shirt with him and i can also show you the copy if you guyz want it for your reference.There was another line behind the bill which stated please come again which i feel is very contradictory.

maine ek shirt tag hills vidhydhar nagar se 23/12/2009 ko kharidi thi jise maine 18/02/2010 ko pehli baar pehna tha pehnne k baad pata chala wo phati h maine shirt ko company me 19/02/2010 ko jama kara diya tha phir maine company k noida office me bhi baat ki lekin koi jawab nahi mila aaj ek mahina ho gaya h lekin kuch nahi hooa ab to company wale mera ph bhi nahi uthate. mai kya karu ?

pepe jeans womens wear — Defective jeans and not returning it back when given to mend

Dear Sir/Madam

I bought a jeans from Pepe Jeans store, Iscon Mall Surat, on 25th of September 2010 worth Rs 1800. After a few days I discovered that the jeans is defective and has about half an inch torn from the back.I returned the jeans on 5th of october for mending it to the same shop. They said they will send it to the Mumbai head office to check whether the defect genuine or not. I agreed. And till now they have not returned my jeans. It has been over two months. Kindly take some appropriate action against them.
