[Resolved]  Planet M — rude staff behaviour and substandard product

I had purchased a mobile phone, model W-595 from Sony Ericsion, from planet m in Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai, on the 14.02.2009. With the set I was provided additional warranty for two years.

The set witnessed some minor problem in March 2010, the speaker did not work when the set was slided open.

I went to give the handset to be repaired under warranty at Planet M. The official there Mr. Rupesh blatantly refused to accpt the set, arguing that the set was physically damaged. I even offered to pay the repairing cost but the person didnot acccept the set. I requested the official to give me in writing why the set is not being accepted for repair, but he told this is against their policy. After a few days the set stoped working. Again on the visit to Planet M, I faced the same official and again the same reason was given, but only orally and not in writing, which I requested again.

I visited Sony's service centre to get the set repaired directly. There I was told that the hand-set is old and probably temperered.Thus they refused to accept the hand-set and suggested me to come through the vendor of the set i.e. Planet M. I do not know why they insisted to come through vendor. This probably shows that Planet m is not selling substandard products. Its the first and the last time I had purchased from Planet M.

I had purchased a mobile phone from planet m in paschim vihar new delhi, on the 28th of february 2010. The brand is micromax q-3. when they gave everything was working fine, the staff was very very helpful and they explained me all the details about the product. However after few days the memomry card stopped responding.

I went to give the handset today and I told that I will be requiring another handset as I need to receive calls as well. The person who was there named Rajinder sd we cannot do anything u have to come on monday. There after three people came who had defects in their handsets. This clearly shows that Planet m is not selling good products its selling substandards or second hand products. Atleast you should train your salesman to speak properly. Belive me i wont recommend any one to planet m. Its the first and the last time
I had purchase a cd from planet m fort store mumbai.on 7th May 2010 When i came home and opened up the cd it was all broken next day I went to the store for the replacement the person across the counter told me that i will have to wait for 4 to five days and they issued me the credit note I again went on 13th may 2010 and i was made to wait for 2 hours and I was told to come back again . when today i went to the store the attendent across the counter did not attended me but started to bad mouthing me and telling me do whatever you can we will not attend you.I am surprised the store like planet m can't arranged for the cd for 15 days and keeping one the the worst staff i have ever seen behind the counters .I did not expect this from planet m.No doubt my money is gone because of your staff but it will be good if you tell the worst staff at your fort store to behave properly with your coustomers.We are not liable to come there every seven days to collect the credit note.The staff even did not have the courtesy to call up when i had even called up on wednesday. I thought you must be having good staff but the people which i have seen today at your store are one of the worst staff i have ever seen in my life
