[Resolved] Poorvika Mobiles Private Limited — Overcharging and misbehaving | |||
Hello, I have a complaint against "poorvika mobiles private limited" store in triplicane, chennai. I bought a samsung c5212i mobile phone with a 2 gb memory card and with no guarantee for the phone on 21-oct-2011 for rs 4250 altogether. Then just next day, i found the phone to be faulty since i was not able to hear the voice in the ear piece properly and so i decided to take it to poorvika to get it exchanged or repaired. I returned the phone on 24-oct-2011 and they found the phone to be faulty and they said it needs to be sent to the samsung service center for their testing and a replacement approval and the process takes 2-3 days. Since 26-oct-2011 was a national holiday on account of diwali, i was told that it may take a day or two longer than expected. I agreed to it and gave off the phone. I kept following up with them for the next 2 days with the sales manager named jay kumar[protected] but there was no proper response and then i dropped into their store on 29-oct-2011, they said samsung service center has agreed to take the phone back and issue a new replacement so poorvika asked me to submit the bill, accessories etc. I went to their store on 31-oct-2011 to return the old phone's accessories and get a new one. The real problem came with billing the new phone - for the old phone, memory card and 14.5 % vat, they charged me rs 4250 then again for the new phone and 14.5 % vat they charged me rs 4000. I asked them, why is the vat being charged again, since its a replacement and its the manufacturer's fault to ship faulty phones, they started behaving rough. I was discussing this with the sales men named "siva" and "kumarakurubaran v" but there was another person named "vasanth" who intervened and showed signs of misbehavior. While i was discussing this matter with kumarakurubaran, i saw this person vasanth having a war of words with another old lady in the store for an issue she had with the phone. I asked them to reduce the vat or at least give me the old bill for my reference but they would not cooperate. Thank goodness, i had already taken a copy of the old bill to follow up in a case like this before turning it into them. I have attached both the copies of old bill and the new bill for your reference, will some one please take this seriously and impose some penalty on poorvika for lacking professionalism when handling customers. They overcharge customers and provide faulty phones. I wasted my time, effort and money following up with them and in the end i lost some of my own hard earned money and i am highly dis-satisfied with poorvika store.
