[Resolved]  Pune Railway Station — long queue

This is a complaint against Pune Railway Station
When I went there yesterday to receive my relative at 11 in the night, like a responsible citizen I went to buy the Platform ticket and what I saw there was extremely upsetting. All the windows for the Platform ticket were closed. The automatic ticket vending machine was not working. And there was only long queue. This queue was for all possible tickets that you want to purhase at a station, be it a platform ticket or any train ticket. There were around 30 to 40 people standing the queue, some of them wanted platform tickets and some wanted train tickets. For a long time, I found people standing patiently. However definitely, some lost patience (like me) and started to find a way to get the tickets quickly like getting ahead by breaking the line, or asking someone in the front to buy the ticket for them. This act annoyed most of the people, which is justified
When one of the persons who had got really irritated, called out for a justification to the railway official, the official started shouting back and was not ready to come out of the cabin.
The whole scenario was quite frustrating.
However, I somehow managed to get the ticket I needed. After that I decided to go and put a complaint in the railway book. I enter the platform and looked for the Station manager. As expected, it was empty. I went to the office and asked why there was no window open for the platform ticket and also for the complaint book. I was given some reason that the windows were open till 9 or something but now they have been closed. However, I was never given the complaint book!!!
We keep blaming our people in India that they do not have civic sense, they dont follow rules. We conveniently state that the people if they go abroad they would quitely stand in Queues, whereas back at home in India, they do not do it. They break the line, they make crowds, well this will be true if this is how our Government offices behave. At 11 in the night if I have to wait in a long common queue, to purchase a Rs 3 ticket, I would prefer to go on the platform without one!.
The railways and all the other government offices run with the tax payers money, and hence we are definitely entitled to a much better service.

Very true.
Things have not improved till now especially 11pm-6 am slot
And will never improve.. Pune station management done by hopeless and useless people.. they just want to make money by giving space to restaurants.. there are 3 big restaurants on platform no 1. but no proper waiting rooms. Upper class waiting room is full of cockroaches and bedbugs.. LCD screens just display advertisements..
