[Resolved]  Reebok Shoes — Defective pasting on shoes

Dear Customer Care Officer

I bring to your notice the sequence of events which are self explanatory in eroding the confidence of a customer in reputed brand like Reebok:

I have been purchasing and using the Reebok Brand shoes including accessories for last few years with a confidence that it is the best availble brand in India. On the same pretext I purchased a shoe around one year back from one of your franchisee outlet in Kamla Nagar New Delhi.On using the shoe for the last few months one day I found that both the shoe have opened up from the pasting side.On visiting your franchisee in Kamla Nagar New Delhi and pointing out the defect I was bluntly told by your franchisee outlet that nothing could be done in absence of the Bill. My only question to your franchisee outlet was whether the bill was more important or the reputation of the company at stake, I was bluntly told that the bill is more important then anything else in absence of which the company would not entertain any claim.

After going through this very unfortunate sequence of events I have now decided not to use Reebok Brand in any form nor would I recommend this Brand to others.I would also suggest you to appoint your franchisee outlets after due diligence in order to protect your brand name and your reputation. Rigidity and Rude Behaviour of your franchisee outlet employees would only tarnish Brand Image and Reputation of your Company.


If you really feel concerned about this mail I atleast expect a reply.

Very true. I too fell prey to the poor quality of REEBOK shoes. The soles are coming off due to defective and poor adhesive used. I have to run to a cobbler every week to paste the soles to do justice to my investment. Such horrible quality was least expected, when I paid Rs. 3490/= for a pair for a brand of repute and that too I bought them from their show room. Enough is enough. Experience is the best school to learn, but the fees are very high. So friends, if you planning to buy "Reebok" please think again.

I Purchased Whirlpool Air condition and received a free Reebok shoe voucher. But the problem is that whenever I go to the Reebok shop I get the canned reply " Sir we dont have the stock of Reebok SWIFT".
I want to know whether I will get this shoe and when? Will it be available before my voucher validity expires?

Dear sir

I have purched reebok white shoes from csd canteen of NSG Manear Haryana on 16.07.2010. After this, I run one and half km three times wearing this shoe resultently its sole's pasting opened only in three days of its purchase. It will be appropriate to say whether reebok compay has manufactured its shoes properly. Suggest me wthether my shoes can be replaed by company, as I have wear it only three days...

I purchased a reebok belt shoes(sandals) 4 months back, it broken on the sides i went to the Franchisee (SanjivReddy Nagar) Hyderabad where i purchased they told with out bill we cant do nothing they are not given the bill and told we will give warranty n service. When i went to them they totally reversed without bill we cant do anything, by the time of buying they told me we will give you 6months warranty now they are saying 3 months only.

I have now decide not to use Reenok brand in any form nor would i recommend this Brand to others. I would also suggest to appoint franchisee outlets after due diligence inorde to protect your brand name and your reputation. Rigidity and Rude behaviour of like this franchisee outlet employees would tarnish brand image and reputaion of Company.

I agree to this Rebook shoes quality are really poor which are shipped to India. You can easily differentiate between quality of shoe purchased in US and India.

I have purchased a shoe 1 month back and in a weeks time the lower layer of shoe sole started peeling off, i submitted it for repair and it has again started peeling.

There should be some action taken on poor Rebook shoe quality

Reebok Shoes — Reebok shoes manufacturing defects with in 9 months

I'd purchased Reebok shoes in India today offer, they have charged 1599/- INR now with in 9 months there is a damge in shoe, unable to wear the same.

I'm not regular user of these sport shoes, almost 10-12 hrs a day I used My safety shoes, hardly 1- hr a dy and 4 days in a week I wera these shoes.

Reebok Shoes — not provide the bill

SIR, I purchased a pair of shoes of my son from SOBTI_SHOES jain bazar, from ambala city.He tell me that it has the cost of RS.2790/- with the scheme of company i.e 50% off. i agrred to purched this artical and give rs.1395/- cash.and ask for the bill,but he stateway refused to give me the bill of my artical.when again i resist to provide me a bill his statement that no bill is provide in this showroom you can go .I shocked that how he dared to act this illlegal activities in the main market without any fear.YOU are requestd to take legal action against him so that further loss to nation can be saved.

i went back to the outlet unfortunately i didn't bring the receipt with me so they refuse to accept it without the original receipt so i went back after i found the receipt they take the shoe and the told me they will reply me ,,, after about 3 weeks they cal me telling me that they refuse my complaint ,, and i am so sure it was not my fault and this is not bad use its a nonfluctuating fault ,, so i ask form the responsible person to investigate in my situation and reply me ,,

I watched the store manager at the Reebok Outlet store in Winnipeg Manitoba; berate and belittle a family member today – just because the employee / manager made a mistake on her bill and my sister asked her to correct the bill and refund her the difference. I was so shocked by this manager’s unprofessional behaviour that I left the line I had been standing in for almost an hour, and dumped my $400 plus arm full of product on a table, and left with my sister.

The manager's behaviour is very disturbing. Here's what happened...

My sister left her young son with me to finish picking out a pair of shoes as we had a baby with us that was fussing so she went into the car. I was still looking at clothes and needed to try them on when my nephew was ready to buy his shoes. I told him to go wait in line as the line up was very long and disorganized. I told this young boy to remember to remind the clerk that you are under 14 so there is no tax (as this is the policy in Manitoba that children do not get taxed on their clothing).

The store was majorly understaffed and the line was over 20 people long. Only two employees were working the front and not consistently. I was in the change room when my nephew finally made it to the register. The manager was at the till and did not ask the young child if the shoes he was buying was for him, and he was charged sales tax. This was a mistake by the manager / training issue as this provincial policy has been in place for decades. The manager should have known better.

As I was still in the change room, the boy goes out to the car to his mother. She looks at the receipt and sees the error. Now, I know the amount in question was very small however, my sister is a single mother with two young children. She follows the policy of watch the nickels and the dollars will take care of themselves. So she went in to see the employee that handled the sale.

I was in line so my sister asked me to hold the baby while she went up to the register to speak to the employee. She politely told the woman that there was an error on her sales receipt and that she needed it corrected. The woman told her that she would have to go to the back of the line. The line was now 30 people and over an hour wait. She politely told the woman that her son had waited in line for over and hour, and that she had charged him sales tax in error and she should not have to wait another hour to get her bill corrected.

The employee told her that she did not have time to help her and to come back tomorrow. My sister told her that this was unacceptable and that she wanted to see the manager. The woman told her “I am the manager, what are you going to do about it?” in an extremely belligerent voice. My sister told her that as a manager she should want to correct mistakes promptly when they happen because that’s her job. The manager stated “Oh come on. Really. It’s sales tax on a pair of shoes. How much could that possibly be?”

My sister stated that yes it was a small amount but as a single mother this mattered to her and it was their mistake; all she was asking was for them to fix it. My sister told her it was an error for $2.52 but now it was the principle of the matter and that it was her mistake and she should have some respect for the customer and correct the oversight.

The manager then proceeded to humiliate my sister in front of the entire store speaking in a loud voice that my sister was holding up the line for $2.52 and how pathetic she was and that she needed to leave the store. She then ordered my sister to leave the store or she was going to call the police. My sister told her that she had not done anything wrong or threatening to warrant such treatment and that she was going to stay there until the manager did her job and corrected her mistake. The manager then started to yell at my sister telling her to “Get the hell out of my store.” A male employee got involved. He went out to his car and grabbed a bunch of of change from his car, came back, and threw it at her telling her to leave. My sister looked down at the amount and saw $2.50 and quietly stated – I only see $2.50. I’m not leaving without my 2 cents worth.

By this time, several people had left the line and the store. I left the line, threw my merchandise on a table, and left the store with the baby. My sister was following me out when the manager started on her again, calling her names, telling her never to come back again, and calling her white trash.

This company has some serious issues to sort out. I will buy Nike and Under Armor from now on.
Purchased Reebok shoe from Reebok Franchasisee Paras Down Town Square(Mall) Zirakpur IN fEB 2011 and pasting Problem in shoe. Unfortunate part bill is misplaced and Shoe details is RB1006BAW, V71022. Shopkeeper Simply said without bill we can not entertain.
Mine Request is Company like Reebok Franchises should atleast have look on Shoe which not happen. Can Company help me in this regards.

Dear sir

I "Jay chauhan" from Pune, Maharashtra. I have bought a pair of shoe
of Rs:1450/- in offer price before 6 months from New Delhi (Reebok outlet)
but right now problem is that my shoe is not in condition to wear. And i visited
Reebok outlet in Pune to repair because of 1 year repair warranty was commited
during purchesing but they were asking about receipt, i have no receipt. What

footwear get unpasted with in a week of purchase , after using only twice and company is not taking any responsibility on that , as good is sale on discount offer.
here funny thing is that reebok saling all their product on discount

Reebok Shoes — Complaint regarding shoes

I bought Reebok shoes (made in China) for Rs.3599 with bar code number RB806PYE R268074 at Ramnagar, Visakhapatnam, a Reebok retail authorized store. The inside foam, which is a cushion in yellow color is brittled into many pieces and is falling apart. It is obstructing and irritating the feet. It is of very poor quality. The brittled pieces are sticking all over to the socks and clothes.
As a regular customer, I bought many pairs at USA earlier and never had any regrets. This kind of quality from Reebok is very annoying and surprising.
