[Resolved]  Regional Passport Office, Guwahati, Assam — Non receipt of passport after renewal

I have submitted my application for obtaining passport in 08-09-09 File no GUWC00242609 Key no [protected].bt till date i have not recieved my passport.my police verification is over as well Please look into the.Please inform me status of my passport.

My passport REF is GUWZ63002710. My documents was dispatched in the month of FEB 2010 and on the site it is been mentioned thet the Police Verification has not been completed yet. The verification has been pending since two months and on enquiry at shillong secretariat, i was told that the documents was dispatched on 12 FEB 2010.

I haven't received any more information on my status since then.

Myself Shashi Ranjan Kumar, have applied for the passport from Itanagar Passport Office, Arunachal Pradesh last year in the month of September 2009 whereas all the verifications and formalities have already been done but i havn't received my passport till date. Sub. Grievance on not recieving my passport.

Sir, I would like to bring to your notice that I have submitted the passport form on 05/02/2010 at Guwahati RPO office.
The file no is GUW-A[protected].
As a student i need the passport urgently, the status note is showing for more than 4 months as "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time

Dear sir,

This is common phenomenon that RPO not received the Police Report sent by Concern Superintendent of Police in time. Try to get one broker who is having link with this RPO office officials ( You may find them roamimg arround the PRO office like cats & dogs) and they will help you to update the Police Report on website after getting thier share through this agent.

What the Consumer forum is doing? So many complaint registered against this PRO, Guwahati.It was in the news, some times back that they are issuing Passport to Bangladeshi.

Is there any way to get rid of from this problem "Police report yet not received" But if you go through the system the report were sent by concern SP of the District in almost all cases. One copy is avalable at the SP office Speacial Branch in Guwahati for cross check and link with CID.

If 2nd copy at SP speacial branch in Guwahaty has received how RPO not received?

NON RECEIVING OF P.V. IS A BIG GAP AND INSTRUMENT FOR PLAYING BY THE RPO OFFICIALS BECAUSE APPLICANT DOSE NOT HAVE ANY DOCUMENTIAL PROOF OF DELIVERY RECEIVED. APPLICANT CAN ONLY TAKE THE MEMO NUMBNER FROM CONCERN S.P. AND WHEN THEY HAVE DESPATCH TO RPO.

SO PLEASE IT IS REQUESTED TO CONSUMER CARE AND OTHER MEDIA TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER, YOU WILL FIND THIS 90% PROBLEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY SOLVED AND BRKERAGE SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED AT RPO OFFICE.

With due respect I would like to state that I have applied for renewal of my daughter Priti Rani Hazarika (Old Passport no: F[protected] on 14th Sept'10.After following all formalities on 14th January'11 my daughter passport status was that " Police report is clear and the passport is expected to be despatched by[protected] subject to all document are in order". Sir, I was waiting till Feb 7th 2011, to day also I asked in Post Office, but no document is coming in my daughter's address.Sir, I am ready to provide any documents left related to passport, so that I can get the passport with in few days. Sir, again I would like to repeat I am planning to go to UK in April'2011, after her eaxm in March if I get the VISA for UK. as you know that Passport is basic document to apply for VISA, hope you will be kind enough to help me in this regard.

Respected Sir, I ve applied for my passport (File No: GUWA[protected] in August 2009, my last visit to passport office showed the status that my police verification is complete and they have received my application on 20 th Feb 2011. It took almost 2 years to complete this process!! I am in urgent need of my passport now as I have to apply for my visa in April month and passport is the most essential document without it would not be possible. I;m very anxious at this moment and repeated query results to same answer that it will be despatched soon without giving the exact time frame. Hi,

My name is Debika Mandal.

I had applied for my passport on 08/05/2013 in Kolkata. The file number is CA[protected].

The police verification was already clear in Kolkata. The file had to be sent to Assam for verification of birth certificate. The file got cleared from Assam as well, as per the information provided to us by the concerned Police Station.

But now, the Passport is stuck in Guwahati. We do not know the reason why. And its been almost 3 months that the passport is stuck in Guwahati and we have no information as to why or where is it stuck.

Its been over 2 years that I have applied for the passport. Because of the delay in receiving the passport, i am unable to relocate abroad for my job.

Can someone please let me know the status of the passport and when am I finally going to get it.
