[Resolved]  Reliance Fresh — complaint for behaviour of staff

I and my daughter are a regular visitor of Reliance Fresh at Shivalik, Naranpura, A'bad during weekend for grocery items and snacks. It has been observed during my each visit that, staff ( I would like to state specially billing and vegetables section handling staff) is misbehaving specially with ladies customer.

Store is small in size and when there is a rush during public holiday/weekend, their approach is just to drive away customer. Billing staff always facing with coins - change crunch. Whenever, my daughter has visited the store, she always been kept hold for 10-15 minutes minimum for change giving of Rs. 1 or 2 ( though being lying in cash counter)mainly with intention to forego change. Billing staff always hurl the groceries purchased by customers, without any help to keep it in basket or my own shopping bag and just to pay the bill and get out the store. Many times, due to rush, exchange of goods purchased with other customers happens. (once I purchased Amul Paneer - which went into other customer bag and one customer tray had entered into mine). ( on my 2 -3 visits to your Reliance Fresh store at off C G Road, Navrangpura, I found total reverse staff behaviours, keeping all items purchased politely in our shopping bag and in order and then ask for money whereas, this staff always hurl the purchase items, pay first then put ourselves in bag and they don't mind how we are handling our purchased items particularly if heavy in weight - they are taking your baskets even back. We feel that, once payment made, staff has no liability whether its spilled, broken or dropped.

Though we have 10kgs. sugar or any other heavy grain bag in our hand, we have to show our bill to security for just stamping - no checking being done by security and security stands just near to billing counter. Then why such stamping needed with marking 'paid'.

Yesterday, on 15th Aug. independence day, I had visited this store alongwith my daughter for misc. shopping. My daughter had applied color gel on her head so, it was wrapped with aluminium foil by professional beauty saloon and covered with dupatta. We made all shopping within 10-15 minutes. After processing for billing and on due payment, we just move to get out of the store and to hand over the bill to security ( my daughter preceded me), all of sudden one of the staff member from outside entered and pulled dupatta of my daughter saying, she had hided something on her head (ridiculous) and to check her - check purse on her hand and our shopping bag. On being miffed by his attitude, I refused initially and objected for pulling dupatta in this way of lady person and if to check only lady staff can do. So manager called lady staff and get checked vigorously my purse and shopping bag in front of many customers as being public holiday and found nothing. So manager - weird person on seeing silver color foil on head of my daughter, said that she had hided chocolate - lady staff checked that also. - what a mockery and insult of your regular customer?????? by brain less manger (I had not checked his name but he is wearing specs). Such a person head the store as a manger in a company like Reliance? ( at one of time I had asked to see your footage whether I or my daughter has taken anything illegally rather to create this drama but that staff member who had entered into from out said to snatch purse from daughter's hand and to check vigorously and nearly 80% staff get in herd at us as we were terrorist or a robbeer)

Never I have found that any staff is replying properly, nor saying where the items are located - whether in stock or not? they are behaving as if we are committing crime by asking them. Many times I had thought to complain but, skipped thinking - its hardly 10-15 minutes buying time and many elder customers are shouting so during vigilance inspection it must come to knowledge of management. This episode took place during around 3.30 to 4.00 p.m. You may check CCTV camera footage.

Manager on asking refused to apologize or any courteous behaviour after whole episode get over. On being my asking to take all purchased material back and refund my money - he simply showed me the condition written on the back of bill that, no cash refund in any case.

Thus, we celebrated Independence Day at Reliance Store with brainless manger and staff member.

Is this a policy of reliance to behave with all its customer weather corporate - client industries or customer? Is this training given to your staff for Fortune 500 Company?

We have taken oath never to move to any of your store. ( I am also a corporate manager and dealing with Reliance Industries, Naroda)

Kindly look into the matter. I would also like to address at Reliance Industries, Naroda viz. Shri Pinakin Dixit to take the matter suitably. If need be copy of cash memo may be produced.

Reliance Fresh — Intolerable behaviour of security person

Dear all,

I am from Pune, India. I am a regular purchaser of reliance fresh from Geetai shopping center, Paud road, Kothrud Pune. I faced following problem on 23.11.2009 at 11.30am.

On 4th November 09, I purchased wheat bag from the stores. Due to some reasons, I have not opened it for next 15 days. When I opened the bag, I found that the wheat was not in proper condition. They were not cleaned. I visited to the stores to return it with receipt, but the security person refused to enter in the shop.

He talk with rude and untolarable manner. I really feel insulted in front of the customers. I repeatedly request him to call stores manager but he refused saying that, what he is saying is final. I told him that the issue is with stores not with him. He refused to call manager.

After some time supervisor came and discuss issue and talk with his manager. Manager refused to take back the goods.

My question is
1) Is security person is authorized to talk with customers when there was a issue?
2) Why reliance refused to take the stuff, which was purchased before 15 days?
If the client purchased goods for future use and after some time he found bad quality in the goods. Who is responsible for the loss.

If reliance really bothered about the customers, they will send reply to this compliant.

Reliance Fresh — billing staff behaviour

Date of complaint : 7 november 2011.
The billing staff at the Relience fresh store at Kondhwa-wanawadi branch, Pune was very uncoorperative and closed the counter at 1:00 PM for "Lunch" without any consideration for the costumers who were waiting in line. only one counter was left functional and the staff's behaviour was very rude.

Selling expired items

Please find attached image of Reliance Fresh bill. They are selling expired items. Please take strict action against them.
