[Resolved]  Reliance Healthwise Policy — Delayed Approval

I am having Reliance HealthWise Policy from last two years and is due for renewal in October 2009. The id number printed on the card is[protected]. My policy is for FIVE LACS and is umbrella cover for my entire family which includes myself,my wife Geeta, daughter Aakriti and son Siddharth.

One goes for such medical insurances keeping in mind high cost of treatment and safe guard of family members from such medical emergencies which are beyond one's control. Unfortunately my Son Siddharth Sabharwal had to be admitted under doctors advice at Jessa Ram Fortis Hospital located at Karol Bagh, New Delhi for his treatment on 15/09/2009 late evening

Hospital Authorities were duly informed of this Insurance at the time of admission and still I was asked to pay Rs 5000/- as sometimes Insurance Companies do not re-imburse the entire billing amount. The process for approval started on 16th morning and till this time of writing mail on 17th at 17-45 Hrs, the said approval from the said TPA Medi Assist India Pvt Ltd. is still awaited.

I would like to lodge my Serious Complaint to Higher Authorities to look into such kind of ir-responsible behaviour of such companies who just want to sell their Cashless Product and at the time of Claims behave as if we are Begging and ignore the problems faced by the consumers. I am under pressure because of my Sons health and at the same time i am supposed to make follow ups with the authorities for approving my claim/admission formalities. I suppose it should not take more than 2 to 4 hours time to complete their formalities. TPA's phones are either engaged or not responded as per hospital authorities and the same was experienced by myself once I tried them.

Kindly HELP me and many other consumers who may be facing such in competent behaviour of such companies or agencies appointed by them without looking into consumers interest.

Hope to hear soon with some concrete solution.

Reliance Health Wise Policy — delay of final approval

i had taken health wise policy for my family from reliance.my policy no is[protected].reliance had given medi assist ind pvt ltd as a third party advisor.recently my son named gokul nandan was hospitalised at lotus childrens hospital,hyderabad.i had processed for cash less hospitalisation throgh hospital people and i got pre-approval with pre authorisation no 4334163.we are trying to reach them since 3 days.daily we are sending the docs whichever they asked and then we are informing,but the process is not yet completed and to day i am unable to get them on line over telephone or email.none of the nos are working since morning which are given in the policy document.i am keep on calling the nos every minute to know the status.but no use.
