Reliance Mobile Smart Card — Deactivate the Smart Card

This is complaint for no. [protected]. This mobile number belongs to my mother who is 60 years old. Her Reliance Mobile got stolen and a FIR was lodged against it. We requested for the deactivation of the card. To our horror the number has still not been deactivated till now and is being used by some unscrupolous people [this we found out by accident when someone called on my mothers no. and it was received by some person who was using very abusive language]. Kindly help me to see that the number is deactivated with immediate effect so that these people don't use it for some wrong purpose.

Same things happens with me also, , i think Reliance smart is very bad telicom Service provider, and now i changed my no..and take another telicom company SIM card (airtel). I think Airtel is the best..:)

Reliance Smart SIM Card — bad service and mental harassement

the network of smart is very bad, any time i phone anybody 1st few attemts they show error in connection,and even after call conection u can't hear wat the other one is saying
to simply tell a thing which would take 1-2 min. it takes 8-10 calls to do so
and some time it show sim card service failed
its rediculous and disgusting
msg sending failled and still they cut ur balance

Reliance — Deactivating 7 years old phone

I am using Relaince CDMA prepaid from last 7 years (Mobile No :[protected]). Now my service has been stopped without any notification.
When I have contacted my local Reliance Customer care (AT. AMRAVATI, MAHARASHTRA) they notify me that there exist document verification problem. So, I resubmitted the all required documents on 22/04/2011.
But still my service has not been resumed.
When I recontacted the same Customer care they declared that your problem can not be solved because your mobile number is from Mumbai zone & we can't get access from Amravati city. So, best way to go to Mumbai and get your service resumed.

I was in Mumbai 7 years ago but now I am totally settled in Amravati. In the age of Information technology and MNP how efficient this solution is?
Will my problem will get solved (without physically going to Mumbai) ? Or I will be get Compelled to change my 7 year old number (which has become my Identity).
