We had purchased a window AC of Samsung 1.5 ton on 19th October 2007. There was a part not working in the AC and it was not cooling. We lodged a complaint with the Customer services and the engineer visited. He replaced the part on Sept 10th 2008. However, he did not fix the touch panel back and when we later tried to operate the AC, the touch panel was not at all functional. We lodged another complain. The engineers came and asked us the name of the previous enggineer which we obviously did not note or remember. We were asked the name of the previous engineer. The new engineer then asked for the bill in which the purchase date is clearly mentioned as 19th oct 2007. He refused that the AC is not under warantee . The refusal was on 26th Set 2008, not even an yr was completed. This wassheer harassment to the consumer and not to be tolerated. Then the engineer said that the particular part was not in stock. After much pursuation he replaced the part but the frame of it is pending and the engineer has committed that it shall be replaced within 3-4 days. This is very surprising because the fault is of the previous engineer. In the process of repairing one faulty part, he spoiled the other and we had to undergo trouble, inconvenience and harrassment. It is surprising that Samasung's qualified engineers are capable of spoiling brand new functional parts. We want to know the name of the engineer to lodge a complaint against him. This also means that there is no process in which the engineer goes back to his office after repairing and giving a detailed report on what has been done. This also means that the engineers are not fully qualified or trained and are capable of spoiling new and expensive electronic items without any responsibility. They cannot be trusted. The touch panel was later replaced by another panel which was from another model of AC and just did not match the color of our AC. We could not do anything as the engineer declared that since our AC was yr 2007 model, hence the spare part is not in production anymore. How can this be possible that not even an yr is over and Samsung stops production of the parts. Who is answerable for this cheating and malpractice. I strongly request that strict action be taken against this and the matter t be escalated to senior managemnt of Samsung, else I will have no option but to bring this matter up in the consumer court. ONIDA AC (WINDOW) — BRAND NEW AC FAULTY
We purchased brand new A/C 1.5 ton from MIRC ELECTRONICS LTD. North phase 27, developed plot ekkattuthangal, guindy industrial estate, chennai - 32.The AC was purchased on 25th March 2009 Invoice no.[protected], hardly one week after installation the compressor crashed. When we gave a complaint, we were asked to pay additional amount to replace the compressor. Since it was hardly one week old A/C we refused to make the payment. Apparently the service personnel promised he will check with his office and try to replace the compressor.
After that there was obsolutely no response from the service engineer. When we try to reach the so called service engineer ilamparithi on his mobile no. [protected] he never use to pick the call or keep it in a switch off mode.
When we approached MIRC Electronics, the place where we purchased the A/c, there was obsolutely not response and a lathergic reply was given to contact their Head office ONIDA HOUSE g-1 MIRC Mahakali caves road, andheri(E), mumbai - 400093
