[Resolved]  Samsung — Irresponsible Service

Please note that i have purchased a samsung i9000(Galaxy S) mobile on 28/11/2010 from univercell chennai. The next day the phone fails to boot after a software update automatically popup by samsung kies. From then on the device is with the service people who are unable to correct it. Every time i go to their place i am asked to return in 3 days to find the phone lying in some place with no improvement. It is clear from their attitude that its not going to get corrected in the near future. As u may be aware mobile phone has become a critical part of life and its very fustrating to spend 30,000 rupess and submit the phone to samsung for their research, training and development. The phone has been marked has scratched (which is actually done by samsung service people by their great handling and refusal to take the pouch given by me). Why is samsung unable to replace my phone. What is the purpose of samsung service? . I am pretty much sure that by the time i get back my phone, the price will have reduced a few thousands. Will samsung pay that loss? Also the service person has informed me that he will do some research on the phone and if he is unable to correct it only then he will offer an replacement. Why is this. He has already taken 10 days for research. When will he offer me the phone. And it will take 15 working days for getting a replacement. Based on my finding it is 3 days in the US. Why 15 days for India ? Finally i have to wait 45 days (20 research + 15 replacement wait) and 500 rupees on travel and phone calls to service center and pain of spending 30000 on a samsung phones and being insulted by samsung representatives. Why 15 days, when samsung can supply phones for new buyers in chennai , why don't have one for replacement ? Kindly refund the amount, it has caused me great pain and i think i will never use any samsung products ever. I have all the bills and service receipts. Please visit samsung service center named Hi-tech Solutions, old No M9B, New No.83 Anna nagar East, Chennai -102. Ph[protected],[protected]. You can easily understand the processesless functioning. There are more crowd in samsung service centers than in mobile stores. And the numbers given are never answered and if they pick up we have to wait 5 minutes(generating income for service providers) for no reason !.

Following all these insults i called the customercare number given in the samsung website and told all these, the woman on the line gave me a complaint number [protected] and infromed me that i would be contacted in 2 hours by the mobile team. While i am typing this mail i was called by the samsung mobile customercare. I repeated the entire story and he finally gave me this number[protected] and told they will be able to help me. Thats the final slap on a samsung customer, because there is nobody to answer that number from samsung side, it keeps on ringing.

Based on these fact. Please refund me the amount of 28,500 and u can keep doing your reasearch on my phone.

Thanks for the poor service to Indians.

Samsung — Samsung - AN IRRESPONSIBLE SERVICE PROVIDER

Hi All,
I bought a Samsung mobile phone(M200). There was an issue with the phone, hence I went to the service centre at Thane and submitted the instrument for repair.
I submitted the phone on 26-Sep-09. I was told that the repair should be done in a week’s time. For almost a month I did not receive any communication from the service centre.
When I called up to find the status, none of the managers had any idea about the status and I didn’t get a satisfactory response.
Only after repetitive calls made and visiting the centre again, I came to know that the instrument cannot be replaced/repaired hence I will get my money back.
It’s been almost 3 months now, however nothing concrete has been communicated to me till date.
I have made calls to the area Sales manager, Mr. Prashant. Earlier he ensured me on 15 nov. that I should get me cheque within max. 15 days. Today, its 11th of December, however nobody is bothered to stick to the commitments made.
IT IS REALLY UNFORTUNATE THAT A BRAND LIKE SAMSUNG IS ACTING SO IRRESPONSIBLE . I have raised several online queries as well, but no response. I expect some sort of courtesy from the service provider to at least provide me with an answer and assure me of the repayment and stick to the commitments made.
I Believe it is only for the convenience of customers that such service centres are set up. But if this is how the system functions at Samsung, I really regret buying a Samsung Product.

I appreciate if someone can look into this matter and provide me with an explanation.
