[Resolved]  Samsung India Mobile — Horrible and Dangerous Customer Care of Samsung

Display of my Samsung Mobile handset (Model-X700) had become unclear and was only half visible.On July 9,2010 I lodged my complaint (Samsung Mobile Services Receipt No.091 dtd.July 9,2010)with Vedant Services -Karve Road Pune-(Proprietor-Mr.Amar Pacharane-they dont have a landline or mobile phone printed on their receipts!!!!His personal mobile no-[protected]/[protected]) the Authorised Samsung Mobile Servicing Centre.I was told the mobile display needed to be replaced and that there was no need to erase the data.I agreed.Initially I was told that the job would be done within a week.Then Vedant Services started become creative in giving me excuses about delay.Sometimes the display was not available with the Mumbai stockist.!!!Once I was even told the couriered parcel had arrived blank!!!Finally on August 5,2010 i.e 27 days the display arrived and they fitted it inside my mobile with a 1 month display warranty.The service centre was so callous in their approach that they didn't even check whether I was able to access the menu and other things.When I told them this problem they corrected it .Immediately after a couple of days, the screen went totally blank.I again went back and they somehow did some temporary repair work and gave me back.This started happeneing very frequently and every time I had to go back and get it repaired.Finally they told me to get software update for which they asked me to get the data on mobile saved.I asked them to save the data for me temporarily but they were stubborn and didn't co-operate.I reluctantly copied the data on my PC.
I submitted them the mobile on August 17 for software updates.Mr.Amar-the proprietor promised me that they would match the necessary binary and for that they would need a whole day .I surrendered them my mobile in good faith that they would give me finally a perfect display and a fully repaired mobile.On August 18 they told me that software update was impossible as they could not set up a connection !!!!Fed up of the technical failure of Vedant Services to correctly repair my mobile, I asked them to fit my old display.
To top this all when they gave me back my mobile,again it was totally blank,i.e. worse than the half-visible and unclear display my mobile had originally!!!!!
If Samsung cannot repair a thing they should not at least worsen it by damaging it completely!!!
In my life I never had a worse experience about any appliance and what Samsung and their Service Centre is doing is plain horrible service detrimental to the interests of their own consumers.
When you approach the Samsung helplines, they direct you to the same service center instead of escalating the issue at the appropriate level!!!!How devious!!!
God knows why Samsung India manufactures devices to which they cannot provide any service support!!!A customer feels cheated badly.
I am contemplating a strong legal action for compensation very soon against Samsung India and Vedant Services under MRTP and Deficiency in Services under a Consumer Court or under the local jurisdiction.

Samsung — horrible display

I recently picked up a Samsung LEd ( 7 series, 3d TV, 46 inches). Was totally enamoured by the clarity and sharp images that i had seen in the demo TVs displayed in the Samsung Showroom. I was told upon enquiry that one needs to have an HD Set top Box to get this clarity on my LED TV. So i made sure that i got an HD Set Top Box with my TV. It came free . Part of the Samsung+Dish TV combo pack. Went home, got the HD Set Top Box installed ( after a 6 day delay, their SLA is 72 hours :( !!!)...and guess what, when i viewed the HD channels on this TV, i realised that there was a major difference b/w what i had seen in the showroom and what i saw on ths HD channel. Double checked the Set Top box setting with the Dish TV folks. Also double checked the settings with the Samsung folks. So here was the googly. WHAT YOU SEE IN THE SHOWROOM, ON DISPLAY ON TV, ARE NOT HD SET TOP BOX videos........THEY ARE BLU RAY DVD PLAYER sample videos !!!!!!!! THey explicitly never tell you this when you buy it...they actually tell u that since you are getting a HD Set Top Box, you will get the same clarity as you see in the demo TVs...such a rip off....and guess what, you will also notice that there is hardly any difference between a HD channel and a non HD channel on this TV !!!!!!!

My Samsung Android phone has very poor display clarity as compared to others of that same range,set model GT5570 Galaxy POP.
