[Resolved]  Samsung Refrigerator — Terrible Samsung Service & Product

My Samsung double door 410L refrigerator was bought in July 2003. For the past one year there have been problems off and on regarding its cooling. Either it doesn't defrost or it doesn't cool. The Samsung service engineers would come and melt off the ice and say its fine. But it would stop cooling after some time. Finally after multiple visits from the Samsung engineers I filed complaint no[protected] on May 29th. After repeated calls to the service center, some rude engineer came and said that some thermometer has to be replaced since its not defrosting right. Again there was no communication and finally I was told the part is not available. Long story short, my fridge stopped working completely in the mean time and after a MONTH they got the part and changed it. How can it take A MONTH TO GET A PART FOR AN MNC LIKE SAMSUNG. Do we still live in the dark ages - have they not heard of couriers?? When called, the Gurgaon service manager Sushil Sharma told me very rudely that nothing can be done. When will these companies wake up and take service more seriously. Why can't we sue these companies for false promises and for selling dud products to consumers?!

Again my fridge is not cooling and this time I am told a PCB needs to be fixed. I filed a complaint on Sept 6th (no[protected] and again I call daily and am told that it will take another couple of days to get the part. So who will compensate me for the mental trauma and the aggravation that this complete lack of service is causing me?! Again it will take atleast a month for a company like Samsung to procure the part?!

I wonder how its got to be a $80bn company with terrible service like this!! I am never buying another Samsung product - we had a similar experience with a Samsung home theater system (its now sitting in our attic gathering dust after various Samsung engineers spoilt it after just one year of buying). I just dont want more consumers to throw their money down the drain like us...

I have lodge complain about my samsung refrigator single door . still it is not attended .
leakage from refrigator, vegitable rotten, cooling is not proper
I am having a Samsung automatic Washing machine. The machine was purchased in the year 2004. The machine got a problem in PCB panel. I made an complaint, my BP number is [protected]. The complain was not rectified for the last 4 month. Once the person from so called service centre (M/s Hi-Tech Solution, Phone number - [protected]) has come and replace with a condemed PCB panel and took Rs 1500/- from me. The machine works for 2 days again got dead. After several complain with Service Engg. Mr Mani- [protected], and Mr Ramesh - [protected], [protected](both are fraud) still the problem not rectified. It is very scking that a company like Samsung has appointed a service centre where the people are fraud and cheater. It is a bad name for Samsung as well as the management of the company. There is no control on service centre. My Complain number still open in the samsung system but no one can take care of this.

Please give wide pulicity of this, so that no one will buy samsung product

I myself had horrible experience with Samsung Refrigerator. It is a Hiamlayan Blunder that I ourchased this nth rate refrigerator. The After Sales Service and Customer Care is far far worse than the worst service. The following vouchsafe my comments:
I am a victim of pathetic Customer Care and After Sales Service of Samsung Refrigerator

Samsung Refrigerator, SR-29 EMB was purchased on 02.06.2003.

On 15.07.2006 Defroster Timer and BI MRTal were replaced and was charged Rs.1023/- by Samsung.
Again the Frig became dysfunctional. The Motor unit was replaced on 05.05.2009 and was Charged Rs.680/-
Within a couple of days the Frig became dysfunctional. After several calls the Service Engineer of Samsung said that the Compressor is out of order and is to be replaced. This was done on 15.05.2009. I had to cough up Rs.4374/-
Hardly a month elapsed and again the cooling system failed. After a scores of Calls to the Customer Care the Service Engineer came on 03.07.2009 and found that the gas is leaking, due to improper welding and shoddy work by the previous Service Engineer who replaced the Compressor. He promised that he will come on 05.05.2009, Monday, positively and repair the Frig.
So far no one has come.
My repeated Calls to the Customer Care viz., S/Shri Arun, Vinod, Johnson and Jaffer from 05.05.2009 did not have any response nor any tangible action was taken.
Over the phone, to the Customer Care, one can hear repetitions like a parrot "Your call is very important, it is monitored for quality purpose" !!!
It is a strange coincidence that the Motor and the Compressor became dysfunctional after just five years and odd months, immediately after the Warranty period !! Even the replacement of the Compressor was not done properly and the Frig became dysfunctional.
It boils down to the fact that the manufacture and qualityof the Frig is so calibrated that it becomes dysfunctional immediately after the Warranty Period!!!.
Hats off to such amazing precision and quality !!!

Experience and the facts prove beyond any shadow of doubt, that there is neither Quality in the manufacture of the Frig nor After Sales Service.
The authorised Service Centre, viz., Hi-Tech Solutions, Villiwalkam, Chennai-600049 should be blacklisted for their callous, indifferent and impudent behaviour and shoddy and third grade maintenance and repair work.

The gullible and hapless Customer has to bear the brunt of indifference and passive attitude of the Service Centra and the Customar Care and also financial loss and suffer mental agony.
GOD SAVE THE CUSTOMERS FROM SAMSUNG PRODUCTS.

You have said it very much truly sir.
Evem I am facing a similar issue since the day i bought the refrigirator.
For every 4-5 months, the refrigirator stops cooling and the service persons refill the gas.
And the worst part of it is that they charge us for the manufacturing defects.


It's good to post these comments so that atleast few people are out of the Samsung's irritating service engineers.
