ShopYourWorld — Not refunding after 70 days

I ordered an audio receiver on Nov 1st for which they promptly charged my credit card for Rs 9400. 2 days later they charged me 2000 for additional shipping. On Nov 22nd they informed me they couldn't acquire the item from Amazon. (Lazy folks. It took them so long to discover that they couldn't acquire.) They were supposed to refund the amount in 15 working days. I enquired with them on Dec 9th. They told me it would refunded between Dec 20th and Dec 23rd. They haven't refunded the amount yet even on Dec 29th.

For more than 2 months SYW has my money for no fault of mine. Still they haven't refunded the amount. I am not sure where to go next for justice.
Can somebody familiar with legal procedures advice me on proactical legal options that I have to get back the money. Looks like they are doing this for many other customers as well. I have the email records of all the transactions and communications with them.

Have an positive update on this. A person from Shopyourworld called me up yesterday and promised a refund by today morning, which he has promptly initiated. According to him, the problem is with ICICI gateway where the refunds are not getting through. However apparently when the specific case is taken up with ICICI they do it correctly.

I think I spoke too soon. The refund of the price of the item has happened. The check part was only a promise. I never recieved a cheque. I have been sending you many mails regarding this with no response.

They use the technical excuses and tell everyone that there was a gateway problem or so. They are a big cheat and I too have a similar experience. Rather on line shoppers in India take customers for granted and harass customers. Their services are poor and some good law has to protect customers interest. Shrikant Shende
