[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson W950i — Worst service

I contacted Sony serivce centre for three times and every time I get reply that part which you require is not available and please contact after a month.

Sony ericsson has a worst service ever seen.

When callled to the sony help line they gaave me a address of a service center which has been closed before 2 years.

In a city like Pune I am facing these problems then the situation would be horrible in the rest cities.

I strictly suggest every one not to buy Sony's product because of their bad service.

I have purchased W951i mobile phone 2years back and from the very beginning I was facing the problem of hanging some times. Now from the last 4months I started facing a new problem. Phone is switching off automatically and it will not on by pressing the on/off button. After so many trials it will start operating by removing the battery and pressing the on/off button.
Then I updated the software from your site, after then also problem was not solved.
Then I shown the phone at Sony authorized service center M/S.Shreeji times, Baroda in the month of July. They said phone need software updation.Then I said “I already updated”. But they told me that complete software updation is possible only by them.They said they have authorized to download software from Singapore server and file size is very big and I can not download the same at my end. They have charged Rs.500/- for that. But the cost mentioned on the reception was rs.250/- for business phones. I asked the same .but they said they have serviced the mobile. But the fact was they haven’t done other job than updation.After paying the complete amount I taken my phone.But the next day the same problem occurred and I again deposited my phone .again they updated my software and given me back. But the problem was not solved.
Now I again left my phone on 1st September. Now they are saying there is some problem in the Mother board and they are not authorized to repair that. They can only replace the entire mother board. They also said “we can send the phone to Chennai office for repair estimate. They have now sent this phone to Chennai service center and they are saying it will take 20 to 30 days to revert..
