SIR, I A, HAVING A SB ACCOUNT IN SBI. IT WAS IN SBI SAKHIGOPAL(2118). RECENTLY I HAVE TRANSFERRED THAT ACCOUNT TO SBI AFS HASIMARA (8942). FOR THIS SBI SAKHIGOPAL HAS DEDUCTED RS.100/- AS SERVICE CHARGE WHICH IS ILLEGAL. BECAUSE AFTER CONFIRMATION FROM AFS HASMARA BRANCH I HAVE PROCEEDED FOR TRANSFER OF ACCOUNT & I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS FREE OF COST. NOW I WANT TO ASK HOW THIS POLICY OF SAME BANK CAN DIFFER FROM ONE BRANCH TO OTHER. IT IS NOT A MATTER OF RS.100/- ITS ABOUT THE POLICY OF THE BANK. I CANE GIVE ALSO ANOTHER EXAMPLE THAT I HAVE TRANSFERRED ANOTHER ACCOUNT FROM JAISALMER TO AFS HASIMARA AND IT WAS FREE. MY AMOUNT KEPT IN HOLD AND SAYING THAT I WITH DRAWN OVER AMOUNT THROIUGH ATM, AND IT WAS DONE ON 4/4/2009, WHAT THE BANK PEOPLE CONVEYING, TO GET THIS INFORMATION, I HAVE TO ROAM TO ALMOST ALL CORNERS OF BANK, AND FOR THAT ONE YEAR BACK ISSUE, THEY HELD MY ATM AND AMOUNT OF 20,000/- RS, AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN INTIMATED BY ANY MEANS. FOR THIS I HAVE WASTED 3 DAYS.
AND THE RESPONSE OF THE STAFF IS WORST AND NO PATIENCE- RUDE BEHAVIOUR. AND SAYING THAT PROBLEMS ARE WITH ATM, CALL AND CONFIRM FROM TOLL FREE.- THIS IS THE ANSWER I GOT.
