[Resolved] State Bank of India — Involvement of Bank Employees in Fraud
Recently I lodged an online complain with the banking ombudsman of RBI, about the counterfeit note (Rs 1000), I withdrew from State Bank of Mysore (Bangalore) ATM on 14th of this month. And in the morning of 17th Sept I got a call from some MOHAN KUMAR (Mobile # +91-[protected]), posing to be a State Bank of Mysore employee, to refund me the Rs. 1000. In the due conversation he gave me another call from the SBI Customer Care (+[protected] [call waiting], to assure me that it is the call from the bank to authenticate the issue. I am amused that he had my card number & cvc code. He assured me that the amount will be deposited to my account by 1130 Hrs today (17/09/2013). To my suspicion when I checked my balance, Rs 3750 had been deducted from my account, & I am left with a balance of only Rs. 240. When I called up the number, from which I got the call (Mobile # +91-[protected]), they produced their helplessness over the matter. Now, my issue is how come a person have access to the banking ombudsman mails, & if has access, how did I get the call from the bank customer care (+[protected]. This I suspect is the involvement of some bank employee. Sir, I request you to look into the matter & solve the issue. And today I got a mail from the Manager of my branch citing helplessness & washing hands off the matter, citing the customer's fault, But the customer is always at the receiving end. Thanking You, Faithfully. SITAKANTA MOHAKHUD Was this information helpful?
