State Bank of India — non-clearance of cheque | |||
I had received a cheque from an account holder of sbi branch code 98 in feb'2011. Deposited the cheque in my canara bank cbdt,bangalore branch. My bank sent the cheque for clearance to the sbi.Sent several reminder.No response from sbi.Personally I've called the branch. Phone keeps on ringing.None never received the call.I'M not in position to seek money from the person who issued the cheque.No sbi personnel is available.Chairman, dgm, branch manager, tried to contact customer care.All phone numbers keep ringing.None ever talked till now.Canara bank saying they are helpless. Sir, i have deposited a cheque No. 900680 for the amount Rs.62000/- on 10 Nov 10, to my sbi saving account ([protected]). The cheque was issued from LIC, maharajgunj. The said amount of cheque has not been materilised in my account till yet. After repeated visit to the branch no posistive response was given to us.
