[Resolved]  Swift Dzire — sold old car for new

Vipul Motors Noida tried to sell me a used old Swift Dzire as a new one. He took all the money and including the extras. The total amount was six lakh seventy nine thousand odd. However, when he showed us the car, it was obviously an old car with re-pasted window rubbers and some scratches on it. When we insisted that the car was old, the whole staff of Vipul motors came out to convince us that the car was new and that we are lucky that they are giving us without any wait and so on. Next day, (17th January 2010) when the sales agent came to deliver the car, the car did not start. I was leaving for Uttranchal with this new car and shamelessly the sales agent insisted that I should show the car on my way to some Maruti dealer. I refused to take the car and returned to him.
To get my money back from the dealer was a big drama. After many phone calls and mails, they took 18 more days to return the check. I had asked for indemnities for wasting my time and interest on the money they used for three weeks. Neither Maruti Udyog nor Vipul motors are compensating me my loss of time and money.
Maruti is a trusted brand and it is a shame that they have such suspicious dealers sitting right in NCR.
The owner of Vipul motors is some Vineet Veriwal and all his staff refused to tell even his name. They said we do not know who the owner is. I send him faxes directly, but no response.

Maruti Udyog and Government of India should take some immediate action against such suspicious dealers who have a ‘cheating policy’ to run their business. We are going to file a complaint to the Ministry of Heavy Metals against this dacoit policy of Vipul Motors and Maruti Udyog.
