[Resolved]  Tata AIG General Insurance (HSBC Credit Card) — Tata Aig Cheating thru HSBC Creditcards

Sub: Non-cancellation of Health insurance Policy in free look from Tata - AIG


I am a customer of HSBC credit card wide card No: [protected], in which HSBC contacted me and they have given me a health insurance policy wide policy No: FSP[protected] with a EMI of Rs.705.They said that in the first month only Rs.10 will be charged and from the second month on wards the premium will be charged at Rs.705. I have confirmed with the executive that I will retain the policy if I like the policy. I received the policy pack on 20th September 2008, As I did not like the policy benefits I walked into Tata AIG general insurance office located in begumpet above life style on 12th October 2008 for cancellation, the customer support executive said that they don’t know the details of the policy and asked me to call to the call center or to give an SMS to 58888. I have given an SMS to 58888 on 12th October 2008 on and also kept a mail to [protected]@tata-aig.com on 14th October 2008 to cancel the policy with immediate effect. They responded after a week saying that they will issue one more policy to me in replacement to the existing policy. I said that I am not interested in continuing the policy, and also to cancel the existing policy as the policy was in free look period. Later once I received the credit card statement dated 15th October 2008 I am surprised to see they have swiped Rs.10 and Rs.705 two times in the credit card statement. Even after saying them to stop swiping the premium and close the policy they did not stop and swiped the premium of Rs.705 for the months of October (twice), November, December, January, February - 2009. The total excess amount they swiped after asking Tata AIG people to cancel the policy is amounting to Rs.4935. Now HSBC people are calling me and asking me for settlement or payment. As per my utilization in the month of October 2008 I have paid Rs.1696 on 15th Oct 2008 thru visa money transfer & Rs.2600 in the month of November, on 15th November 2008. I have excluded the amount which is swiped my Tata Aig. Now HSBC persons are contacting me to pay their credit card dues and they have made this due amount with interests for Rs.9860.00. As I don’t want to make my credit history bad I have to pay this amount.

I request u to consider my problem and take necessary steps to get the problem resolved be making Tata Aig refund my premiums they have swiped and the interest amount which I am paying.

HSBC Credit Card & TATA AIG — Cheating customers by HSBC Credit Card and TATA AIG

I'm almost One Year Old Customer of HSBC Credit Card, One Day (5 months ago) I got a call and explained a Accidental Policy plan about TATA AIG Accidental Insurance linked with HSBC Credit Card and informed per month only Rs.10/- (per person) and when I accepted and after one month I received my policy and said month charges of Rs.1300/- + for three members. Immediately I felt this is not so good investing huge over accidental policy and I posted my request over online by login my credit card online accout, to stop paying for the TATA AIG with my Credit Card. But still now my requested is not processed and recently ones again after 5 months again I posted to stop paying for TATA AIG Policy. Still no response, One more intresting in Online Account we can not see our posted queries. It will show only the message, 'Sucessfully request posted'. So HSBC cheating the customers hiding the queries posted through online account. HSBC will not keep any evidance to the customers if you posted your request through Online Account, Phone, or Paper Complaint. So dont take HSBC Credit Card Offers.

I totally agree.
I my case, wehn i tried to cancel the TATA AIG policy, they said system is not working.

Then they assured me thay my policy is cancelled. But the amountstill got deducted from my account HSBC credite card automatically.

On talking to cutomer service, they refused to refund and my one month premium was gone, all waste.

This is guys are not be be believed in any sense.

Government banks might be slow, but they are honest.
