Tata Photon Plus — PATHETIC SERVICES

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am a student of Kirorimal Mal College, DU and I had bought a photon + postpaid connection 1 year back. Presently I sent my device to my home town Bokaro Stell City, Jharkhand where my brother was supposed to use it.My photon no. [protected] and a/c no.[protected]new) [protected]old) with 950 5 GB unlimited plan but my brother told me to get an economical plan so I thought to convert it to prepaid with 250 1GB plan so I applied for the same On 21 august 2012.But the same day in evening I received a call from photon team , they said that postpaidis better than prepaid and the same 250 1 GB plan is also there in postpaid.So I said him not to change tp prepaid but later on I came to know that it was migrated to prepaid. So I talked to customer care regarding this but they said me to apply for postpaid. So I went to the indicom office at lajpat nagar and I gave them my documents but I didn't have an delhi's address proof so I said that I am a college student and I dont have my house in delhi so they said we accept ID cards of JNU and Delhi University when I presented them the ID card they said we can't accept it and said me to present the rent agreement I didn't have it so they charged Rs.200 for it when asked for the bill they didn't give it to me and ignored it so I applied for conversion on the same day 23th Aug. 2012. They said me to come after 2 days and said me to collect the rent agreement and the conversion will be processed by that time.I went there on 25th or 26th and they said that it is not done. then I waited a lot and everyday I called the Photon customer care to know the status they said that there is no such request regarding migration to postpaid.I registered a complaint with them request no.[protected].So I finally decided to visit once again on 1st september I was shocked to know that I was not done yet.So I talked to the sales representative Zeeenat to whom I had applied earlier.She said that there is some back hand fault.When I asked for the rent agreement she said that we have attached it with your other documents and we can't give it to you.So I got really angry then in place of her Mr. Bipin came and dealt with me.They had given me their contact number but none of them responded when I called them.He said due to lot of rush in the office we don't pick the phone.I reched the office at 2:30p.m and waited for more than an hour for the procedure and I left in the half way because I had Income Tax tutions at hudson lanes at 3:00 to 4:30 p.m but still I missed my tutions.In the morning I got a call of Mr. bipin telling me how to activate the device and At that time I was in college so I came home and called my brother to do the same activation was successful but due to some problem there was connection failure so I called him back but he said there would be some minor problem.so I called customer care and gave a complaint reference number[protected].finally every thing was resolved but the net was slow.
So I suffered a lot due to this and I had to run from G.T.B Nagar to Lajpat Nagar missing my tutions wasting money, efforts, energy, time.So a filea case under mental agony and harassment.
I request youto kindly help me as this I my first approachto the consumer forum.

Tata Photon Plus — pathetic service

hi Guys,

i have never imagined company of TATA stature will give such a pathetic service to the customer. my connection was disconnected without even informing me which caused major damage to my work.

and the sales agency who sold the connection is least bothered.
tried calling customer care no response.......helpless.
because i have already paid the money for the device.
I bought this Tata photon Plus of 3.1 Mbps and they said its a new model/type/updated version. So, I was really happy and proud to have bought one. BUT that happiness last only for 10-15 minutes journey ( From Center where I bought to my home). when I connect it to my PC with windows 7 it shows the speed 10 Bits. WOW incredible. After calling C/Care and making some changes in the system I got about 15Kbps. I call the C/Care again 2-3 times I all the time I got to listen to this Beautiful voice of their machine. Till today there is no improvement. may be its better to spend some fare and fill a form in consumer court.. I'm thinking

So my advice to people out there who plan to buy THE Tata Photon Plus 3.1 Mbps, go for it. Be happy for half or one hour. after all happyness matters..
