[Resolved] Tata Sky — Pathetic Service | |||
I have booked an Tata Sky HD connection on 18th July 2011 for my residence Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. But till now installation is pending. I have called so many e-times to their helpline but as usual they always appolised for delay in installation. Today they informed after calling so many times that installation will not be possible as local cable mafia not allowed to enter the premises. If they know well in advance & doesn't have guts to install then why they accepted new connection request coming from the Kharghar area. I have also suggested them that I will take the installation devices from nearest dealer if their engineer is afraid to carry those things. But they declined the request as I have booked the product via phone so installation kit should be given by them. Also I have asked send me e-mail or SMS whcih can be shows to police for their engneer's protection. But they hesitated for that as well. I have spoken to one of the police officer in kharghar area & he deny such incidents happened recently. Also I have found couple of DTH connection in my building itself. I am not sure why these peoples are not coming for the installation? I hope they will either get the installation done or will refund my money immediately. Was this information helpful? | |||

I have been a subscriber with Tatasky for the aout 6 months or so. My subscriber id is [protected].
Problem is, the helpline service is pathetic to say the least. You call them and they seldom pick up the phone. On top of it, it is not a toll free number either. You spend 1 rd per minute, call them and wait for more than 30 minutes but still no one picks it up.
I tried to use the website to make the changes i wanted. I have more than 500 rs in balance and when i wanted to add a package which is 30 per month, it says "Please Recharge and then add package". There is no option to downgrade the basic package via the website and you need to call the helpless helpline to do that.
All in all, tatasky service has gone from bad to worse. Usually when competition kicks in, service levels improve. Tatasky is the complete opposite. Day by day, their service level is going down.
There are a lot of channels that are telecasted in Hindi only. For these channels, the language selector doesnt work at all. Even if you change it to English, the telecast remains in Hindi only. Why would i pay this huge a money to watch something in Hindi which is completely useless for me? Complained about this 3 weeks back but still no feedback. As i said, these guys are useless. We should move on to something better, so that tatasky will try and improve their service to keep their customers.

Airtel — Pathetic Service for DTH
I have booked an Airtel HD connection online on 10th July 2011 for my residence Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. But till now installation/refund is pending. I have send so many e-mails to their helpdesk as well as nodal officer but no response from their end. After a week on 18th July 2011 they realised that installation will not be possible as local cable mafia not allowed to enter the premises.If they know well in advance & doesn't have guts to install then why they accepted new connection request coming from the Kharghar area.
I have spoken to one of the police officer in kharghar area & he deny such incidents happened recently. Also I have found DTH connection in my building itself. I am not sure why these peoples are not coming for the installation?

even after writting to the nodal officer maharastra their is no response. I feel the nodal office is not bothered about customers or customer service. He is bringing disrepute to the name of TATA which used to stand for trust.
every time you talk to a new telecaller who will use words like "I am sorry for the inconvience and would personally look into it " and then forget about the problem . Even the superviosors are useless - Sapna, she is one lady full of lies.

I'm using the tata sky services for the last 1 year .. 2 days back, the setup box lost the signals ..
i have raised the complaint for the same and got the response that it will be fixed in 24 hours. but after 24 hours, i got a sms saying that engineer will visit in next 48 hours and its been 3 days now, no one has visited.
Even customer care is helpless.
