[Resolved]  Titan Eye Plus Spectacle Frame And Glasses — Faulty glasses quality

Titan Eye Plus charging premium for sub-standard products doing irreparable damage to eyes of customer by providing incorrect lenses. #shame

This is with reference to complaint registered on 14th Dec 2015 complaint No : 00063949.

Gist of the complaint :

I Purchased Frame and Progressive lenses dated 12/10/2013, Invoice No : BDP0003543 . Details are F- Tag Huer worth 13090 and PTP16HW ( lens Prem PC Pro g Hmc ) 2 worth 5523.30 each from your Titan Eye + Tirupati Chs Vile Parle East 400057

With great regret, I would like to put forward that the coating done for these Progressive Lens have faded off in less than 2 yrs of its making . We checked the same with Titan Eye + store and they have confirmed that the lens coating have been faded off and not damaged. The spotting / fading of the coating on the lens was observed in the first 6 months only, however as this was not hampering the vision we over looked it and did not bother to raise a alarm . Our trust for the Brand was too strong for us to believe that a sub std product could have been delivered to us . Now however the vision is completely distorted because of the entire lens coating has faded off and it is practically impossible to read through these glasses..

We have been using progressive lens made from a near by local optician for the last 8 yrs without any problem . Inspite of we moving to a reputed brand Like Titan Eye + and paying for such a expensive lens had to go through this hard ship as the product handed over to us was of a sub std quality .. We have also shown the same to couple of other reputed / Branded Optical stores and they too have confirmed that the coating done was sub std and there is no way that coating could fade off in less than 2 yrs time ..

When we contacted the Titan stores, the same enthusiasm which was shown during the sale of the spectacles was some what missing and were told that the lens coating has been faded off and had to purchase new lenses worth Rs 10000/ again . This was without even understanding that the product was brought from their own stores and a sub std quality lens was given where coating had faded off in less than 2 yrs

We were guided to write to customer care and only then would the complaint be entertained / looked at . I found this absolutely absurd, something not expected from a TATA brand ...

Its extremely sad that a customers like us who have been associated with Titan brand for so long have been given a sub std product .We are really disappointed ...

I would urge you to have the same reviewed and the progressive lens recoated / replaced ...

I am eager to hear from ull at the earliest.

Titan Eye Plus is one of the fraudulent company that exists where the delivery will be late, the product that is being delivered is entirely different from what we asked and the customers are being given false info and being cheated upon.
I went to Titan Eye Plus showroom in Thanjavur.
There I saw a model where the glasses re thin. When we ordered the model for making they made the model with thick glasses. When we asked for they told this is the max they are able to make. We lost 8k in the process for nothing. It's useless and don't get cheated.

I ordered for a pair of progressive lens from Titan Eye plus of Bapuji Nagar branch, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 10th May-2016. The same was delivered to me on 18th May-2016 but when I started checking it I found it to be faulty. The lenses were not properly placed. Then the technician tried to rectify the problem but to my dismay he made it more faultier. The manager agreed to provide me the new lens and the spectacle was again delivered to me on 6th June-2016. After using for two days I feel this has not solved my problem in the sense that the portion of the lens meant for distance vision has been made so narrow that I have to lean down my head for seeing distance object. Where as, while working with the computer I have to raise up my head to read out which is causing neck ache. Of course reading position is some how manageable. I think the problem of making the perfect progressive lens is still persisting and the technician is novice to do the work. At this juncture I find local made progressive lenses are more comfortable and cheaper too.
Now the ball is in your court to solve the problem.

Titan eye + is the worst provider of spectacles .I brought one from them, it costed me around 3100, in initial days o[censored]sing it i felt little headache .I thought maybe my eyes are getting adjusted to new lenses.I tried using them for a month but i was not able to get rid of that headache.As i bought them from hometown in Panchkula, haryana from Titan Eye Plus, Panchkula,
Address: S.C.O. 348, Gali Number 11, Sector 9, Panchkula, Haryana 134109 and my workplace was in some other city i reached them out after 2 months, the staff there admitted that the cylindrical lens had some degree problem and will get it fixed in 5 days (which is generally a big time for such task), I had to shift to some other city so someone from my family collected the frame and i used it after 2 months when i came back .And to my surprise the headache problem was still there.I visited a local optician and gave him my titan eye spectacles and the other spectacles(which never gave me any problem) to cross check the power of both spectacles, there was a big difference of -0.5 in one eye, that is why i was suffering from headache for so long.When i visited Titan Eye plus and asked how such mistake was done, to it they said sir you are coming here after 5 months since you brought the frame we cannot rectify your problem now .Seriously??First of all they made me suffer for headache so much time and then they are not responsible for anything.This is the worst service ever i had received from any Spectacles Provider, i didnt had time to do a complaint in consumer forum, but i wish someday this company gets fined heavily for such bad practices .

I am a former optom of titan eye plus...I quit my job due to the pressure of area manager...he forced  us to sell anything higher amount to any customer...we don't even allow to know the customer need...we got a target ..n if we had one customer..then he have to fullfil our target by him..by hook or crook..force to give wrong info to customer..no customer relationship...if we are not able to do...then he threat us to fire us...what is this ###...

It's not a grocery...this is a place where some medical exams are done...let us allow to decide what is suitable for customers...don't go after target everyday...

We are here to prescribe... recommend...not to make customer fool...

Plzz look closely... otherwise the company become worst day by day..in Northeast..

What ever we learned in training...in reality we have to do exactly opposite..I assure you...call any stuff in North East...ask some tricky questions about him...they will surely give you clue about what happened actually in titan eye
