Titlus.com — Cheating , Misleading, Fraud selling

Hi,
This complaint is against www.Titlus.com (claimed to be whole seller of digital SLR camera and other items).
My Order NO as per titlus.com # 625
Unfortunately I bought a Canon EOS 60D DSLR Camera and SIGMA 18-200 OS Lens from this seller, i was promised 2 year Canon India Warranty for my DSLR and 2 year Sigma India warranty for the lens, there were some freebies they promised for my order. Canon bag for My DSLR, a 6 feet tripod and a 4 GB Memory Card, but when i receive my shipment i only receive Canon EOS 60D (New) DSLR and a used Sigma 18-200 OS Lens clearly mention on Adorama invoice I received. (Lens is of D Quality as confirmed by Adorama.com) - Adorama.com is claimed as titlus.com’s store operating from US - told to me in clarification by their customer care executive Osmond Perera when I asked why did I have invoice from Adorama instead of Titlus.
Now as this product was shipped from US i had to pay approx. 17K duty on this, when i asked Titlus why the shipment was sent from US, they said it was ordered from US only by me, but they charged me INDIAN Camera Price on invoice at the time of order, When i asked them, why the item price showing as Indian price on your site, (This camera i bought cost $899 in US market ) if i ordered it from US then the price i should see on the Cart should be o[censored]S, then they said, as they will provide 2 year canon India warranty on this camera hence the price they charged me is of INDIA.
I do not understand this theory of Titlus, how can they provide Indian warranty on US item till date i have not received any 2 year warranty on my camera they promised for the price.
Now when i reported the issue o[censored]sed lens and freebies they started to miss guide me by saying this is not a used lens and just an open display item which I have ordered from their website, so i don't have to worry and Titlus will issue 2 year warranty for the same from their Mumbai Office, which i am still waiting for.
And again for freebies they keep on misguiding me and confirmed me on email that they have confirmed from there US office that freebies were shipped along with camera and lens, and asked me to lodge a complaint with UPS claim department. When I lodge a complaint with UPS, UPS confirm only 2 Items were there in the shipment as mention on the ADORAMA invoice i received with the shipment which is fairly true. Then I sent an email to Adorama for the clarification on my shipment, Adorama confirmed that, shipped Lens is the used one and of D rating and not an open box lens, and freebies as claimed by titlus.com was not in the shipment as only 2 items were ordered by someone named as written on Adorama invoice Thomas Varghese.
Other side of story, in the beginning when i ordered from this site at the time of payment option i selected EMI option as i thought it would be easy option to pay and i made a big mistake and made a 30% payment to them later-on they sent me communication that my EMI application is unsuccessful from Bajaj finance, and I have to make a full payment, when i asked reasons of my EMI request being unsuccessful, they said this is internal process and they don’t get reasons for rejections.
Then I had to make a full payment because of their unfair condition, which is 30% payment will be forfeited. Which i do not understand and to me it seems more like a trap so buyer has to forcefully make a full payment to save their 30% deposit.
Now when I made full payment to them, they said my item will be dispatched in the evening and i will shortly get tracking details, and from here they started misguiding me again and again, next day when I asked I have not received shipment tracking details, they said my shipment was ready for pickup since yesterday but the courier guy is not Cumming up for pickup as there is heavy rain in Mumbai , same thing was repeated for 3 days, then i saw a mail with tracking details from titlus.com but this blew up my mind as shipment was being sent by UPS and it was already dispatched 2 days back from New York USA.
This is pure cheating and fraud, shipment was shipped from USA, but there customer care department person Osmond Pereira keep on misguide me saying shipment is ready for pickup in there Mumbai office just delayed because of heavy rain in Mumbai, and later when I got the shipment they said, sir Please check you only make a mistake while ordering items from USA.
If I made a mistake then why the hell you are misguiding me since beginning by saying “shipment is ready for pickup in there Mumbai office just delayed because of heavy rain in Mumbai” and if you are true and faire company then why didn’t you give me information of my shipment on the first day you made an order for me from USA vendor site.
This has clearly proved that Titlus.com is not a genuine vendor and has a cheating behaviour since beginning, they do false promises and misguide there customer and sells old items without any warranty. Such vendor should be banned on internet so that other innocent people could be saved from there fraud.
Here are my big Losses buying from Titlus.com.
1) Approx. 17K duty paid extra (Camera price quoted as current camera price in Indian market)
2) Still waiting for 2 year Canon India warranty
3) Got used lens instead of new without 2 year Warranty which is clearly mention in the cart.
4) 4 GB memory Card, tripod, Canon Camera Carry bag.
I am ready to share all evidence against them.

The same is the case with me...Titlus dot com is a total fraud, dont get trapped with them.

I wanted a pro video camcorder (SONY FX 1000) I had been looking for this models for months and finally bumped into this site called TITLUS DOT COM and I found their price really great (155, 990/-) and so called them up to confirm the same. This guy Osmond Pereira very politely said its available for the same price and I was also offered an EMI option with Bajaj Finance. After I sent them 30% down payment (Rs. 46, 797/-) they informed me that Bajaj Finance has not approved the finance and so I will have to pay them the entire sum.Obviously I was not ready with such a big amount and somehow the same day I stumbled upon the feedback you guys have put in online (Thank you Mr Sunil Chauhan) I realised that I am trapped. The options they gave was either to cancel the order or pay the entire amount. However, cancellation of the order will attract a deduction of a major amount. The following is what they sent me...

"All Online Sales Orders placed on Titlus.com are Final. Requests for Order Cancellations are only entertained if the same are placed in writing within 5 days of placement of order or receipt of payment by Titlus.com whichever is earlier. All Order cancellations are subject to a deduction of order processing fee of 5% of the invoice amount plus deduction of a order cancellation fee of 3% of the invoice amount. An additional 10.3% service tax is applicable to the total deduction amount. Additionally any deductions made by the bank as payment processing fees are also deducted from the refund amount. Additionally, orders cancelled after dispatch from our warehouse are subject to a handling & shipment fee of 10% of the invoice amount in addition to the order processing fee and order cancellation fee. Titlus.com will duly refund the entire payment minus the above charges back to the customer within 1-2 business days of receipt of a written cancellation request from the customer provided the above conditions are met."


As I realised that I am completely stuck, I asked them to cancel my order. They deducted some 9.5K and sent me back the rest of the money. However, the funny thing is the money got transferred from one Abhijit Madhukar Gatade. When I enquired, they said he is a director with the company and transferred the refund from his personal a/c so that its faster. I cant believe that because you can never have employees giving refunds on behalf of the companies they work for (especially when they claim to be some big international company)

I only thank all the people who have put in their feedback on so many sites online and because of you all I only lost 9.5k (surprisingly I never saw a single feedback while I ordered...only to see them after a few day of putting in the order)...who knows otherwise I would have been duped of the entire 1.6 lac knowing now what kind of rubbish products they have.

Bottomline is guys never even think of buying from them. They are cheaters. I am planning to put in police complaints...lets see if anything works out. BTW their Mumbai address only says MIDC andheri...so thats completely fictitious. Beware!
This guy is running the same scam as cronora dot in.

The listed address is fake. There is just one guy running the scam. He uses a voice modulator (which turned off while he was talking to me) to make it seem like there are multiple people.

The Mumbai address listed is fake, there is no landline number provided. The whole operation is a well managed scam. He even has fake reviews posted on Mouthshut (copied from Amazon)
I agree to each and every single word which has been mentioned by all the people above. I am also one of the victim and planning to sue them now.

I purchased a DSLR camera and received without lens and when I complained about it they put the whole blame game on NIKON company, so I sent a mail to Nikon people and replied me that they don't even know this company and don't deal with them.

Guys lets get together and teach them a lesson.
