[Resolved]  Toyota Vios Car — Sub Standard Car delivered

Dear Friend,
This is not a junk mail nor it is a spam.
I would like to warn you if you are using a TOYOTA CAR especially those of you in THAILAND and INDIA.
I had bought 2 brand new Toyota Cars and both the times I have a very bad experience with the cars starting from the 3rd day of taking delivery especially the TOYOTA VIOS LIMITED EDITION which I took the delivery on the 9th March 2009.
On the 11th March, the glove compartment fell off, when we took to the service center, they informed that the glove compartment which came with the car was for another model not this model. It took them 3 days to get a new one.
On the 16th , the suspension started giving problems and brakes started making screeching noise and they claims that the brake discs were full of dust. That was a bull , because by that time the car had logged in only 250 KMs. Another problem was that the back luggage compartment cover was making a loud noise and on checking they had not put in the spring of that compartment.
Then the A/C started giving a problems and they had to replace the blower.
Till now they have not been able to solve the BRAKES AND SUSPENSION PROBLEMS even after taking to the service center for more than 20 times in last 6 months.
The company says that whatever the problems we complain are the standard of this car and it is perfectly alright.
Another point which should be noted is that they had assigned few people to follow us for reason known only to them and when we became aware of that, they fled away . We reported the matter to the police and on checking , that vehicle was reported stolen 2 months earlier. Fortunately we could see one person who was TOYOTA MOTOR THAILAND’S STAFF who had been to our place.
We had taken up the matter with the TOYOTA MOTOR THAILAND, and instead of taking care of the problems they assigned a lawyer to look info the matter and THEN CAME UP WITH THE SUGGESTIONS THAT THEY WILL LOOK FOR A BUYER FOR OUR CAR AT 30 % OF THE COST.
THE PURPOSE OF WRITING THIS IS TO YOU IS TO WARN YOU THAT IF YOU ARE A TOYOTA USER/S BEWARE THAT YOU MIGHT FACE THE PROBLEMS I AM FACING, AND IF YOU PLAN TO BUY A CAR, AVOID BUYING TOYOTA AS YOU WILL GET PROBLEMS AS A BONUS.

Update on this .

Further to our earlier complain lodge.

When the problems became more than we could handled, We tried to contact the Executives of TOYOTA MOTOR THAILAND . Not only they refused to talk to us, they asked their Legal advisor to send us the notice that IF WE TRY TO CONTACT ANY STAFF OF THE COMPANY, THEY WOULD TAKE TAKE A STERN ACTION AGAINST US BY TAKING LEGAL ACTIONS FOR VIOLATING THE EXECUTIVE'S PERSONAL RIGHTS.

They forgot that THEY THEMSELF ARE VIOLATING CONSUMER'S RIGHTS by supplying sub standard vehicle to us.

Not only that, they had organised a group of people to trail us for reasons known only to them.
We finally filed a petition at the CONSUMER'S INTEREST COURT and instead of working out the solution, their lawyer said that THE COMPANY HAS ADVISED TO FIGHT THE CASE TO THE END.

This clearly shows HOW IRRESPONSIBLE TOYOTA MOTORS IS.

Indian consumers, PLEASE BEWARE IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY A TOYOTA AS YOU MAY GET THE HEADACHE AS A BONUS WITH THE CAR LIKE WE HAVE GOT IT TWICE.
