[Resolved]  Travelocity India — REFUSAL OF RESCHEDULING JETLITE AIR TICKET

Sir,

I had paurchsed two air tickets from Travelocity India website. The Trip ID are: 98262392 and 98262413. The tickets were booked for the Hydrebad Kolkata sector on Jetleite Flight No. S2 0512. the date of travel was 4th of August 2009. Due to some reasons I wanted to prepone the tickets to 1st of Aug 2009. The fare charged for the ticket by them was Rs. 2982 for each ticket after providing me a discount of Rs. 200. On making a call to the Travelocity on 31st of July for rescheduling the tickets I was told that there is some maintainence work going on in their system so they will be calling me back within an hour. But they didnt do so. At last after calling them 2 to 3 times they finally took my call but told me that its better to get the tickets resheduled from the Jetlite as if Travelocity does the resheduling they will charge an additional Rs.250 apart from the fare rules of the company and the difference in the air fare.

On calling up the Jetlite, I was told that Travelocity has booked the tickets for Rs. 4904 and Rs. Rs.3004 through and has paid the same to Jetlite. But I had paid only Rs. 2982 per ticket to travelocity. So jetlite people told me that since these tickets have been booked for a higher amount so I can reshedule the ticket only to a higher class and the fare for which was Rs. 6300.

On communicating the same to Travelocity attendant Abhijeet Mishra I was told that i cannot reshedule the tickets though the seats are available for the flight on 1st Aug, 2009.

At 4 hours of harresment I had to cancel the tickets and pay Rs. 953 for the same though the airline cancellation fee is only Rs. 750..

I need justice in this regard.
