[Resolved]  Travelocity India — No Customer Service at all!

I had booked a ticket for a Kingfisher flight for the 16th of February, which I needed to reschedule for the 18th of February. As per the rules, I had 2 hrs prior to the departure during which I could change/ cancel the flight, and I had started calling on the customer care numbers some hrs before my flight, as provided on their website:

Travelocity India:
Operating hours are from 8am to 8pm everyday.
Calling from within India:
Tel:[protected] or[protected]

The first number didnt work at all. The second number had a recorded message, which had the options of booking, changing bookings, speaking to a 'travel consultant' etc. No matter whichever combination I tried, I got stuck at the last step which involved speaking to a customer care executive. For example, I spent 20 mins waiting for my call to be transferred to a real person, and ironically just listening to a recorded message of just how important I was as a customer to Travelocity. The call never go transferred to a real person. There was also no way of modifying my booking on the net- there wasnt any link for Rescheduling/ Cancellation at all, even in the section where I could view my booking. The website suggested I call up the Customer Care, and the recorded message from the Customer Care suggested I take a look at the website. Total scam!

I had to call up Kingfisher Airlines itself with barely 2 hrs to go; it was such a contrast there. The lady helped me out even supplying my PNR number, which Travelocity didnt put on my booking. I dont know what bill Travelocity is going to send to my credit card, and I dont feel I owe them anything at all- rather they should compensate for the harassment and valuable time I spent trying to just get through (and failed eve after an hour of trying). All the work for cancellation and rescheduling was done by the flight- to which I am really grateful, when it was Travelocity who should have done it.

I doubt whether they even care about customers after the experience with their non-existent customer-care. I will never use Travelocity again, and would like an official body with the proper clout to take action against this agency (since, the ordinary customer or his grievances hardly matter to Travelocity). All potential customers also need to be warned against booking with Travelocity:

NEVER BOOK WITH TRAVELOCITY.

Currently even i am experiencing the same prolem with travelocity. the above iformation is 100 % true & facing horrible problem to change my bokking as in my case my airline - cathy pacific is also not helping me to change my travel date. ????
need some help ! anyone ???

200% True...Facing horrible experience.I booked ticket for Jet airways and provided all information while booking the ticket. But when i got the mail for that ticket i was shocked to see in passenger name was like 'DSDSD FDFDFG' .could be some system error from thier side. I was trying to call customer care but no one responding I spent 3hrs to contact them but ..:(...then sent mail to cancel my ticket but still didnt get any response...Toooooooooooo Bad...
So much harassed by Travelocity India for cancellation of tickets. Even after cancellation, the refund hasn't reached my account. Never book with Travelocity. The above description is exactly what I also faced. 24/7 and 365 days a year the freakin Travelocity call center experiences "High Call Volumes" and "They appreciate my patience" which has already been very high and the same tune rings through out hours after hours. Absolute horrific experience with Travelocity India.
I strongly agree with all the above friends comments. I have been trying to reach the horrible customer care since last 5 days for 2 hours each day. No one responds. I dont have PNR number to cancel my ticket. How do i cancel? If i call up the Air india customer service they say that they need PNR number...
I am stuck in middle of hell... Please help me a way to reach Travelocity india customer service.

I think they give better fares by not having a call center at all...so they can cover up on the lowest fare offered in comparison to anyother website...i suggest to everyone to actually book thr tickets from the airline website only and not get bluffed or fooled by these 3rd party websites to save a few hundred rupees and face the haressment when we need the customer care the most. I had to make a cancellation of 5 passanger with a value of over 25, 000 INR...and its totaly crap...i don't knw whr to go and wht to do...travelocity SUCKS! I am actuallu wrting this while I am on the phone just stuck on HOLD and not on 1 mobile but on 2 phones for over an hour. Now the only next thing I can think of is to call the airline and cancell my tkts through them but I dont know whr my refund will go... to my credit card or to this lousy web site. I wish this company goes Bankrupt for treating there customers like ! TRAVELOCITY SUCKS!

TRAVELOCITY INDIA — Not getting refund

I have booked a flight ticket for two passengers on 5th May'10 for two passengers form Kolkata to Chennai from travelocity India. Travel date is 8th June'10. On 19th may'10, I cancelled a ticket for one passenger. But till today I haven't recieved my refund.
Travelocity is a complete fraud company. I booked a flight from Air India and recieved the travelocity reciept online. Later due to some problem had to cancel it. Their representative confirmed and mentioned that I will be getting a refund after some 2000INR deducted within 3 days. 2 weeks passed away waiting for those 3 days to be over so I called. Another representative tells me, you'll get a refund in 3 days, I've processed the request now. There you go, another 2 weeks passed, the three days never passed, I never recieved refund. I called again, the same 3days story. One month and 3 days over since September 1st. Those representatives make fool out of you. Rude customer service somemore. Despite of the fact that they should return my money, I never raised my pitch. Their representatives do not know how to address people either. It would have been better I should book from Air India direct and can get refund much faster in case of cancellation. Travelocity is a failiure in itself - don't buy tickets from them.
Its really a bitter experience when you want to cancel air tickets through TRAVELOCITY. No phone no. is working when only 2 numbers are available. I had cancelled my tickets by calling to airlines but don't sure about the refund as it should be through TRAVELOCITY. Govt. has to take action against them and had a a clear policy about refund from every site operating for this purpose. Otherwise site should be banned.
I am chasing for refund for Toronto-Ahmedabad since November-2010. It is about to complete one year . I have wrote to everyone including their indian boss Himanshu singh. Nothing has happened till that. boss has passed the complaint to junior level. He thinks his job is complete. No one knows who is the owner of Travelocity.

A representative at customer service said I would get a refund for a flight I had misses because my mom passed away and I had to leave earlier. I still needed the return portion but since she said that portion had been cancelled and would be refunded, i bought a new return ticket. Well she was wrong, I could have used the return and i have not been refunded, she just wanted to placate me without knowing the true answer to the question, that I should have used the return. I have not been refunded after 11 months and i have spent hours on hold phoning them and written many emails. The favorite trick, which they must be taught, is if they can't help you, they say they will get a phone number where you can call. Then you stay on the phone for 20 minutes and have to eventually hang up. They aren't rude, but they don't listen because they are busy saying a canned speech about how much they care. They don't have the authority to do anything for you, and you can never get to anyone in authority to make a decision. They said they had turned in the documentation about the funeral, but Etihad, the airline, said they never got any request for a refund. DON'T EVER BOOK ON TRAVELOCITY INDIA.
