TTK Prestige — Glass Top Gas Stove - Glass broke with a blast

We have bought a glass toped gas stove dated 26/02/2012 from prestige smart kitchen store. It has 2 years warranty and we have gone through the terms and conditions carefully.


We have faced an accident with prestige product Model No. GT 03L AI whose glass top busted with an explosion while cooking. Hot pieces of glass were all over the place. Luckily nobody get hurt seriously. We raised complaint through dealer with Case No. 1163 dated 28/02/2013. We talked to TTK prestige limited service head in Bangalore Mr. Murali (contact no: [protected]) and response was not good. It took more than a week to them to get back to us. Now he mentions that glass top is not covered under warranty, however it is nowhere mentioned in the warranty card. They are asking us to pay almost 1/3 of the price of stove and they do not guarantee that it won't happen again. This is a safety hazard which can cause serious injury to the user.

After a week service representative appeared over our door step after a confirmation call. He checked our warranty card and almost fixed it and asked to get photocopy of warranty card, we were filling feedback form and gave our honest opinion meanwhile he gets a call from his manager and now says that you have to pay for it and took out glass top again and left the place.

Same problem I have faced on 23/04/2013 night.
i also faced the same problem see the pics and pls suggest me what to do and how to claim

exactly the same problem with me too. what is the use of Warranty then... useless brand.
They charge Rs.1750 additionally to replace the glass top. i rejected that and at then end i bought a steel Pegion gas stove at Rs.1500.

I bought a hobtop model PHT 04 AI on 13/01/2016 from Prestige Smart Kitchen Gadget Store vide bill no.752.On 14/05/2017 when we just finished making lunch and went out of kitchen the glass on the HobTop blasted like bomb the glass shattered all over. Thank to God we left the kitchen a minute before and no major accident occurred.Formal complaint has been lodged with the company HARY2433426 dated 14/01/2017.The hobtop is still under guarantee which for two years. The company should respond to such complaint immediately and should recall the product or compensate the customer. It is observed that this problem occurs frequently and company taking no note of it.
