Vodafone — Ambiguity on the documents for the issuance of Vodafone prepaid SIM card

I have taken a Vodafone Prepaid SIM card on 24th july, 2009 from a retailer in Pune. I was asked to submit address proof and ID proof for the activation of the card and i submitted PAN card. I asked the retailer whether ican submit house rent agreement as addressproof to which i received a flat NO. As i am not a native of Maharashtra, I can not produce any of the bills or driving license on which the present address is mentioned.On his suggestion i submitted the company ID and i changed my address to the company address on the appication form. I recharged my card for 500Rs. and to my surprise i am unable to make or receive calls. After a series of phone calls to the customer care and retailer, i was informed that my documents were rejected by the company. I again visited the retailer and was asked to give the same ID card copy attested by the company by having company's stamp on it. I followed the same and visited the retailer again after 2 days as the card is still not usable. I was again asked by the retailer to fill an outstation form and asked for some documents of the landlord. As our landlord doesn't stay in pune, i asked the retailer whether i can bring a letter from our company's HR head stating my permanent address and the present address of Pune. The retailer contacted the distributor and the retailer agreed to take the letter as the distributor was ready to accept it.i submitted the documents and even after long wait, i am unable to use my card. I appreciate if any action is taken on the retailer and the distributor for not being informative, responsible and concerned. They are answerable for the time and money i had spent on it as they are not knowledgeable on the product they are selling.I feel that the retailer and the distrbutor must be competely aware of the whole process stringenlty and it is the responsibility of the company as the retailers and distributors are the representatives of the company and they are in direct contact with the customer.

I have a recharge of Rs 500/= on[protected] which was wrongly done to [protected] but my number is [protected]. The ID is RJ [protected]. The Retailer is Super Communication, B - 5, Near HDFC Bank, Central Market, Bhiwadi, Alwar (Raj.). Upon asking the retailer says I will recharge it when it comes to my mobile but till date[protected] this is still pending. The Retailer (Ashok Koslani) said you please dail [protected] to which the wrong recharge was done and speak to him but on dialing the response was THIS NUMBER IS TEMPORARILY NOT AVAILABLE. At the same time, I recharged of Rs. 250/= because of less balance in my mobile. So please take necessary action in this regard and do the needful so that I will get my money (Rs. 500/=) back.
