Glad to see so many complaints against Vodafone. i wanted to deactivate my number and had called the customer service desk. They had assured me that from so-and-so date the number ([protected]) would be deactivated within a few hours. However, in my billing cycle they had charged me for period well beyond the promised dates. When i had called the customer care - they were unwilling to first acknowledge that there was a mistake and kept insisting that the payment should be made. I was told that though the phone was discontinued but due to internal procedures the account was still in an active mode, hence i will have to pay for the extended period. Why should any customer pay for inefficient services?!! that too when the account was deactivated.
The vodafone customer care rep was rude and ill equipped to handle grievances. Infact, the rep went to his low standards and started threating me saying 'you pay...else..' It showed the low standards of the company itself by appointing such illiterate jackass.
I wanted to take this up last year on such forums but due to paucity of time, couldnt. This is more to caution folks against taking Vodafone services. Anyways what to expect from such companies.
For years, my whole family have been using Vodafone, now we plan to either migrate to other operators or stop such lousy services.
They charged me unnecessarily after i had complained to deactivate my number.
