[Resolved]  Vodafone - Mumbai — [protected] - Rs. 1600 Extra Bill Received For MSG

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

My cell # is [protected] and using this connection from last 10 years. I have plan of Double Value 299 and Unlimited MSG pack of Rs 149 and in that i can send the 15000 free msg montly.

This month I have received the bill of Rs. 3116.94 and in that VODAFONE charged RTs. 8285 for msg only and given discount of Rs. 6602 and telling to pay Rs. 1600 for msg which is not acceptable as I have monthly 15000 msg local and national msg free.

When called to customer service they are telling that DIWALI 2 Days of 4th Novmber and 5th November are BLACK OUT DAYS and as per TRI regulation whatever msg I forwarded in that two days is chargeable. But it is not updated by MSG or no one called and updated to me. It was not updated when I activated this SMS Package of Rs. 149.

When called to Customer service #[protected] the customer service executive Ms. Reshma and Mr. Devendra not able to help for this and telling that it is not their in hand and I have to pay the bill. They are telling that this information was updated on their sites. This is not at all acceptable as we are not going and checking the sites everyday.

On 4th and 5th November I had send only 287 msg and for that they are charging Rs. 1600 extra

Can someone help me in this matter. As it is not updated to me prior BLACK OUT Days of Diwali by anyone from VODAFONE by msg or verbally then why should I pay the more Rs. 1600/-.

Regards,
Santosh Adhatrao

Very Sad with such kind of servies from VODAFONE.

Vodafone — 98200557131 - Get Extra Bill Without Information Of Black Out Days

Dear Vodafone,

Before your below mentioned reply I have written to you as below that is self explanatory.

My Subject as captioned is correct "UNETHICAL PLAN AND SMS CHARGES AS LEVIED'' as Reliance is charging for the same SMS Plan mere Rs 39 per month as compared to Vodafone charging Rs 149 i.e. Rs 110 lesser !!!

Beside Reliance has introduce Blackout Days effective 20th August 2010 only.

When the said SMS plan was activated I was not inform of the alleged Blackout Days nor does Vodafone send a simple sms cautioning venerable subscribers of the Day being a Blackout Day so as to avoid charges, thus most unethical way of making money and souring relations with your long and loyal subscribers for whom you do not care.

I am simply disgusted and will demonstrate the same when Number Portability is effective.

Bobby Shah.

Dear Vodafone,

When an email is written to you please respond back via Email also instead of calling the subscribers as you have done, as no record remains for the same, thus this email.

I was called today by your executive on my Subject mentioned email stating that a feedback of my email is forwarded to your marketing team, and that was the end of the conversation as far as your executive as concerned !!!

So I had to ask with regards to the subject mentioned if the levied charges towards the SMS's is being revoked or not, to which your executive sounded rather rude and stated that the conditions towards the SMS's are well laid-out on your website and that the charges are not revocable under whatever circumstances, she also sounded as if she regretted nothing therefore NOTE WELL that I will changing over to another service provider immediately upon availability of Number Portability and upon being asked at that time my reasons for doing so, this email will be again forwarded to you.

Sincerely,
Bobby Shah.

Subject: UNETHICAL PLAN AND SMS CHARGES AS LEVIED.
Date: Thu, 16 Dec 2010 21:50:43 +0530

Dear Vodafone,

The following numbers are on my name with the same Billing address[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected].

I am under your SMS plan of Rs 150 per month wherein 15000 SMS's are allowed per month, surely I don't even come close to the same every month.

The SAME SMS plan is charged at Rs 39 per month by Reliance Mobile to its valued subscribers whereas I as your Loyal subscribers since the past +10 years am paying you Rs 1332 per annum over & above an Reliance Subscriber availing the same SMS Plan !!!

See the Reliance Website stating of its SMS Pack charges... http://www.reliancemobile.com/webapp/Communications/website/Mobile/locateus/prep...

Also as per the above link, Reliance has introduce the Blackout Days effective 20th August 2010 only !!!

The Problem being that despite charging me a Premium of Rs 1332/- per year for the said SMS plan, Vodafone SMS Plan still has so called Blackout Days which was never informed to me when availing the said Plan !!!

Nor does Vodafone send an Alert SMS to its Subscribers under the Plan informing them of the Blackout Days or SO on the Blackout Days itself cautioning venerable Subscribers of the day being an Blackout Day so as to avoid charges from being levied if SMS are sent !!!

As an result of the above I as an unaware and venerable Subscriber am charged Rs 1078.50 towards SMS charges for my Bill period of 18.10.10 to 17.11.10 !!!

If Vodafone is an ethical company it should understand well that the above is an unethical way of earning money from an UNAWARE, ILL INFORMED and UN-CAUTIONED Subscriber and my Bill should be revised immediately.

It is however VERY Clear that Vodafone does not value my Loyalty of being its Subscriber which is right from the time when you were competing only BPL and were know as Hutch, then were known as Orange, then Back as Hutch & now as Vodafone, as, if you so valued all your subscribers you would have made sure that I am charged the best price for any Plan availed and especially made sure that I was not charged more for any Plan as also offered by your Competitors but instead you are comfortably charging me almost 3.3 times more for an SMS Pack and yet are not even reluctant to charge Unethically for the so called and un-cautioned Blackout Days !!!

The above disgusts me as it would to all your Subscribers who are aware and yet if you are not prepared to learn as to why Vodafone will be loosing when number portability in force then only God help you.

You are requested to revoke the unethical SMS charge as Billed to me failing which I assure that I will be the first to switch over when number portability is available.

I further request you that weather you revoke the SMS charge or not please make sure that my email is sent to all the top Boss at Vodafone as an eye opener for them to awake up soon to the realities of competition & for loosing Subscriber Goodwill due your exploitative attitude.

Sincerely,
Mr. Bobby Shah.
We should file a complaint with TRAI towards excess charges being levied by vodafone for variopus services. Even if Plans are compared Vodafone is most expensive.

For Vodafone loyalty is not the issue but only money matters.

Sincerely

GAURAV DHAMIJA
