[Resolved]  Vodafone — Unable to port out my number despite of several attempts

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

Hi,

Actually I am currently using Vodafone service. my mobile number is [protected] and I have a corporate plan. My rental is 199 and plan name is ST_MU_MV_SuperSaver-199. Just two months back Reliance offered a very good plan and i decided to port our my number. First time I requested for mobile port out and I got some code and I forwarded that code to reliance guy. After few days I got a message that your request has been rejected due to some contractual obligation. I thought that the code has expired and hence I requested for a new code and submitted to the reliance guy. However, after few days I again got a message that your request has been rejected due to some contractual obligation. Immediately I called vodafone care and asked what is the matter.

The first representative told me that since I am having corporate plan I am not able to port out my number and I have contractual obligation because of this. He suggested me that in order to port out you will first need to change your plan to a normal plan and then you will be able to port out. i asked him how many days will it take to change the plan and he told me he will change the plan immediately but it will be in effect from the next billing cycle. I think on 31st i again called the vodafone care to change my plan as my billing cycle was from 7th of the month. The second representative told me that the process has been changed there is no need to change the plan to a normal plan, you will only need to request us to deactivate the contractual obligation and it will be deactivated in 48 hours. i was really happy to hear this. After 3 or 4 days I thought I would be able to port out my number now I thought I should confirm from them whether the contractual obligation has been deactivated or not. I called vodafone care once again and asked whether the contractual obligation has been deactivated. The third guy told, it has not been deactivated the process has changed and now you can request for deactivation and you will get a call from our concern team and then it will get deactivated. I was completely frustrated on Vodafone support. After 2 days I got a call from the retention department asking me the reason for porting out my number. I told them everything that I am getting good plan from reliance and hence I want to port out. They told me that you will get a good plan from vodafone as well if you could send the scan copy of the plan that reliance is offering. I told them I do not have scanner and hence I cannot forward the same. They told me to drop the plan voucher at any vodafone gallery and we will offer you better plan than reliance. I went to Sion vodafone gallery and I told the lady (vodafone representative) standing there about my situation and I told her to take the plan voucher. She told me that I will need to take the token first and wait for my turn to come. I told her I do not have that much time you can keep this plan voucher. Again I called vodafone care to request to deactivate my contractual obligation and again my request was forwarded to the retention department. I got a call from them again and asked the same reason inspite of having the database wherein they can check the call logs that were updated before. I gave the same reason and this time I told I do not want to continue with vodafone. The lady told me to drop one e-mail to corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com. I did the same while we were on phone and she told me tht within 48 hours my contractual obligation will be deactivated and I would be able to port out my number but to increase my frustration, the contractual obligation was not deactivated when I inquired the same by calling vodafone care. This time I was really really frustrated. Infact one of the vodafone representative told me that they do not have access to check the previous complaint and request and only supervisor can do that. I told him to transfer the line to the supervisor first he was not ready then I forced him he put me on hold for some time and then he told that supervisors are currently busy and hence line cannot be transferred. He told that he will arrange for an outgoing call and I will get a call from the supervisor in next 1 hour but to my surprise I did not receive any call. Lastly I decided to reach vodafone gallery and empty all my frustration there. I went to the sion vodafone gallery but no one was ready to handle the query so I shouted and told that I want to speak to the manager. The manager was good and he assured that this time my request will be completed and i would be able to port out my number. He told me to wait for 48 hours. After that day i got around 10 calls from the retention department asking me the same question again and again and all promising that within 48 hours my contractual obligation will be deactivated. But after reading the whole story you should be able to predict that still my contractual obligation is not deactivated and i am still following up with them. i do not know why vodafone is playing such a bad game with the customers. It would be very great if some one from this forum can show me a way to tackle this situation and get out of vodafone. if someone can provide me the e-mail address or contact number of the ceo or vice president of vodafone company

very dissatisified vodafone customer

Vodafone — Not Able to Port

I tired to port my number from Vodafone to Airtel as airtel gave me a plan as 299 monthly that has 750 free national and local minutes adn after that all calls at 50ps per minutes. After submitting the request Vodafone rejected the request stating that I have contratual obligations as I am on coporate plan and then they called me and told me that they will also offer the same plan and I told them I do not want to be with Vodafone, they told me that as per TRIA i have to submit my ID proof and Photo and a letter at Vodafone store and only then i will be able to port the number. My porting 15 day interal will be over thi Monday and I am planning to give the letters by end of this week and then send the request again and see what vodafone has to Say. If Mondau too they reject I will got to TRIA asking why Vodafone is stopping me from porting even if I am in a coporate plan.
