[Resolved] Vodafone — Overcharge and defrauding | |||
I switched from airtel to vodafone 3 months ago due to connectivity issues. I brought a new i phone and hence opted for a 850 rs 5 GB plan. This was in addition to a vodafone usb internet dongle that i was using. Before activating the plan, i asked the customer care rep whether i will be intimated about usage on my cell phone or not, and each time he said yes sir. According to him, i will be intimated once the usage reaches 80 percent and then again at 100 percent. So with a budget of 850 rs, i activated the plan on my cell. On receiving my bill however, i was charged almost 3000 rs. On calling the customer care and writing to their complaints department, I was told the company is sorry for not being able to send the sms intimations but that I will have to pay the bill.
