[Resolved] Vodafone — Security Breach from Vodafone | |||
This is with regard to sudden disconnection of my number. A major lapse of service operator lead to unknown scenario My Number [protected] suddenly got disconnected without my knowledge. This was a shock for the day as my number was not accessible. On calling customer care 3-4 times they told that the SIM had been lost. It was an astonishing statement as the SIM was very much with me. I requested them that my SIM is with me and it is not lost and I have not registered any complaint. But they forced me to visit the nearest Vodafone store to reactivate my number. Finally I visited the Vodafone store leaving behind all my work and meeting schedule in between. The justification given to me was that they got a call from a number ( [protected]) for the SIM lost. Before taking any action Vodafone did not do any verification for that number neither took any initiative to check whether the SIM was in use or really lost. On many request Vodafone provided that number from where they got a call. On contacting that number owner of the number confirmed that he did not lodged any complaint or called the Vodafone and they even don't know anything related to me. To know exactly why this was all done I asked them for the call recording for the complaint lodged. They assured to provide me with recording. But after assurance they did not provide recording. After visiting the Vodafone store three to four times and many communication with the nodal officers they now refused that they have any recording. On basis of which it can easily be judged that this was a mistake of any Vodafone executive. Was this information helpful? | |||
