[Resolved] Vodafone Service — Vodafone prepaid service quality
Sir, I have been a vodafone prepaid mobile ([protected]) user for over 18 month , recently the quality of service have droped to a all time low. I am unable to make calls even when my balance is over Rs 250 with life time validity I have experienced network drops many times in my region, my friend also has the same problem when I do confirming it to be a network problem . At times in early mornings the network itself will not be available . I live in Ejipura area near koramanagala in Bangaluru in Karnataka state. Also when I try to call the 111 number for customer care, most of the time I get the message that the service is unavailable. I have reported this problem dozens of time but in vain. Today morning( 8.45 to 9.15 AM) I had to make few important calls and the calls didnt go through . What if these calls were to emergency numbers ? I do understand that the recent low price wars between operator have made things difficult for operator but even then shouldn't there be a commitment to provide a basic quality to their services . Does TRAI have any system / regulation in place to monitor and make sure these are adhered. I believe I speak for thousands o[censored]ser who also are facing the same problem. Thanks & Regards, Arun Raj [protected] Was this information helpful?

Switch over to Airtel...though the prices are on higher end. You will never run out of network :)

On Monday morning too has the same network issue. No coverage available for vodafone at around 5.30 AM . I was able to receive calls only after I left the my home region. Spoke to Vodaphone Customer Service they said there is an on going issue in the region and said that it will be addresses in the next 24 hours. I asked the agent have the compaint escalated as I use the phone for both personal and official use and this is not acceptable.
Vodafone should have at least communicated if there were any scheduled maintenance or should have a back up system in place as the area is densily populated with a lot o[censored]sers . This shows Vodafone's commitment to its users.
I would have changed my service provider is I could retain my number, but as thousands o[censored]ser I am too bound to the service provider as this would mean changing my mobile number which is not possible.
Thanks and Regards
Arun Raj
