[Resolved] Vodafone — Wrong billing for 2g usage | |||
Vodafone is a cheat!!! My postpaid mobile number is [protected] and this is regarding a bill that i received for Rs.12350/. I had requested for the activation of 2g data plan of 2gb + balance unlimited usage at a reduced speed for Rs.199. I had requested for this activation through their customer care executive on call. In about 10 days, i got a message saying I have exceeded my credit limit of Rs.4000 and I was shocked because my bill never exceeds Rs.1000 every month and i have been using vodafone services for over 7 years now. I immediately call the customer care and ask them about this message on exceeding my credit limit and they reply that there is nothing to worry as my discounts have not been considered and at the end of the month my unlimited data plan discounts will be applied and my billed amount will be reduced. On repeatedly confirming with the executive, he assured me that once the discounts will be considered at the time of generation of the bill. At the end of the month, i receive a bill of Rs.12350 where my actual call usage was only Rs.600 and additionally they have charged me Rs.11000 for the data usage of 1gb. I immediately rushed to a nearby vodafone store, i get to know that they have put me on the 1gb 2g data plan instead of 2gb data plan so that the could charge Rs.125 for 1gb and Rs.10000 for the other 1gb which was supposed to be free!!! This is highly unacceptable!!! Now vodafone say they have no records of the transaction made with the call center executive and that i have to pay Rs.12000!!! Vodafone have cheated other customers the same way and charge them exorbitant amounts!!! They also call back in a month and apologies for their error and ask me to pay Rs.4000 and clear the bill!!! I dont understand why should i even pay Rs.4000 when my actual bill is only Rs.1000. Please help sort this matter for me. Was this information helpful? | |||

I have spoken to the customer care and even visited the store several times and it has been of no use. Each time a different representative speaks to me and after I explain the whole issue, they say they will contact me immediately but they don't!
Someone even called back and said its a mistake from Vodafone's end and so please pay only Rs.2000 and so I did pay Rs.2000 after which I did not receive any confirmation mail or message nor did the person call back.
So only if you can resolve this issue immediately then please call by 1pm or after 5pm.
