[Resolved]  Woodland Shoes — Bad quality and service of company

Dear Sir,



My name is “ANILKUMAR PATIL” working with “WELSPUN GROUP” as “MANAGER –PROJECT”.



I had purchased woodland shoes no: 52777 (khaki), from woodland store M/S: vikas enterprise, Gandhidham on 30/9/07.



But, within a week I found that the stitching of one shoe is getting off…and shoe is not in condition to wear any more….for same I had drawn the attention of the shop owner…and he had promised to made it repaired from woodland factory…as he has gave me the guarantee of one year in any case of damage he will repair it free of cost….



After that I went to some my business trip to Delhi, and after returning on 3/2/08 I gave it for repairing……now after 10 days….I made call of inquire to him and he has replied me that” my shoes are not repairable and will not be return….if I need new shoes I have to pay 50% of my shoe value which is about 1100 INR.”



Sir, can you justify this matter? Why my shoes are not repairable though wood land gives the guarantee of one year? Why my shoes are not returnable? Why I have to pay 50% of shoe value?



I am the user of woodland from last 16 years….I had use about 6 pairs of woodland series….but I had never face such problem…this time I caught…but not getting proper response. Can you help me in this matter?

I purchase a wood land shoes " GC 0112105 CAMEL 43 FOOTWEAR " at 09/01/10.
But with in a month I found that thestitching of one shoe is getting off…and shoe is not in condition to wear any more…
Please pay attention to this matter and take correct Action

this is ragin i purchased wodland chapel frm kerala thrichur...after 6 months i washed chapel the leather came out...what should i do...is there any service center ...can change the leather ..now wn i wearing time smell is coming...i payed 2500rs.. Hi, I have purchased a woodland shoe, using it for few minutes makes my right leg to pain & unable to walk even. It is so poorly designed it is not soft on the leg. I stopped using it, only I can recommend not to buy this brand.

Dear sir,
i had purchased woodland shoe from indore last year, & i had use it only two to three times & it looks totally new with no wear on sole from its bottom.But on 20.07.2010 while moving of 100 meter with this shoes i found that one of the sole from the shoe is completely come out due to failure in material.Please give the solution for this damaged.I am totally upset with this event, i had very faith in Woodland brand but due to this event my faith totally demolised.Please tell that where i would go for the solution.Presently i am in Bharuch-Gujarat.Wheather this shoe will replaced or not.

I purchased a pair of formal shoe from Chataniyapuri Woodland Showroom, after three
to four times used the sole completely detached from the stitching side, it is totally
company defect. I complained the Woodland Showroom Abids, Hyd. they suggest
change the new sole instead of old one. Please change my shoe, help in this matter.

WOODLAND — Poor quality and service

Hi,

I have been a woodland customer since last 9 years and the reason for being with woodland is its genuine leather quality, impressive design and excellent durability. I have enjoyed wearing woodland shoes for all these years until recently when I bought a new pair of shoes worth Rs 4995 from Aero Club, Shop No. GF-04, City Centre, DLF I.T. Park, Chandigarh on 03/Aug/2010.
Within a month, I found out that the sole got detached and the wrinkles on the shoes indicated as if shoes were years old. I had put across the matter to the shop representative on 09/Sep/2010 and he, analyzing the condition of the shoes, assured me that he would get the shoes replaced as soon as he could. I was also assured that I would be highly satisfied with the services.
I got a call from the shop today i.e. 21/Sep/2010 at 3:00pm telling me that they had received my shoes and I could come and collect the shoes. To my high dissatisfaction, I found out that the same shoes were shown to me with the glue pasted in the soles and shoes were polished. I was upset to see that the unacceptable wrinkles still existed on the shoes which mar the look of the shoes.

I understand that some wrinkles occur on the upper surface of the shoe but the ones on this pair of shoes are unacceptable. The color on the sides of the shoes has gone. It looks pale yellow. The shop representative told me that next time the shoes will be replaced but company has not replaced the pair this time which sounds un-understandable. He was also sorry about the fact that the shoes were not replaced and provided me with your contact email ID so that I can raise the matter to you.

Kindly look into the matter and have my shoes replaced or get me my money back. The repaired shoes(as they say) are with the shop representative. The request number is SM403 BRN.43.

Please oblige and respond at the earliest.

dear sir,
i bought a pair of woodland shoe 5 months ago which i have used only for 2 times. but one shoe's sloe is layering off.i have sent to the repair but the dealer refuse to take it then blaming us for the damage.this is pathetic you need to look in to it!
so here after i will not buy woodland i will tell my friends not to buy any of woodland's product.we are fed up with the service.

i had purchase wood land shoes from mubai (baider)near croma show room show room, ) artical no gc0124105 only 2 or 3 time i am useing that shoes the bukkle is bokken and am go to the store for repaing he said he will not repairing the shoes, there is no stock the buckle. am visiting the store 4 time. thre is no positive action. what can i do. my friend also face this problem. we are using only the wood land shoes. this is the first time. this type of mistake we thinking about ather brand shoes.

First of all the attitude and behaviour of the salesmen/worker or the shop is intolerable, as I wrote in previous email they asked me to bring shoes and they will send them for an expert opinion.



I visited the shop again, from the beginning they started saying that it is not a manufacturing fault, it is a fault from your side. I asked, if he is an expert and is that is a expert opinion? Yes, the man in the shop said `I am an expert’.



Only after a heated conversation they agreed to send them for an expert opinion.



Today ( 23/11/2010) I received a call from the Shop and they said it is not Manufacturing fault and I can collect the shoes from the shop.

When I asked for an written Copy of Expert opinion, they said that they cant provide and don’t have time to talk over phone for my complain.



My question is if an expert has examined the shoes and they are saying its not Manufacturing fault, than why are they avoiding and not giving anything in writing.



I bought the Woodland product on 8 October from “M/S AERO Club” (Address mentioned below) only as you can see the date of my previous email (8 november), I went to the shop at 4th of November, not even a month have gone by.



The shop keeper is acting just like that replace/repair cost will be imposed on them and the Woodland product is not a Original pair but they are selling fake one’s in the brand name of “Woodland” .

When I contacted the dealer he said it would go to experts in factory and it will take atleast 15-20 days.

What kind of service is this? For a shoe should I wait for 20 days for their expert opinion.

My self Munish Kumar, working as electrical engineer in Indian Oil Corporation ltd. in Panipat Refinery. I have puchased one pair of shoes (cost 2500/-)from woodland show room near Nehuru park, maodel town, Yamuna Nagar. After 3-4 month one show upper part got melted. Hardly I wear these shoes 10-12 times in parties. I goes to shop owner for repairing/replacing for that, he take my shoes and said that contact us after 15 days. When I came after 20 days the shop owner refuses and reply these shoes are not repairable and not to be changed. He uses rough lenguage and treated as me is guilty.
Woodland company is a reputated company and assure their customers for good service. But when I facing such problem I realise that I should never purchase Woodland Shoes.

am Rajaraman venkataramani, purchased woodlands brown shows from CBD Belapur, Navimumbai woodland showroom in 2008. Last one decade myself and wife is using only woodland shoes and chapels. Earlier we had loyal with BATA, when we got struck up with quality problem, switched over to Woodlands brand. But unfortunately my shoe had a problem with peeling o[censored]pper layer. Literally it's looking like footpath shoe. Nobody will say i am wearing woodland shoe. I purchased it for Rs.2400 in 2008. I approached your nearest dealer they told me that it could not be repaired, you have to by a new one. Just think about me, i am from middle class family, i could not afford to buy Rs.2400 shoe every two years once. i understand it didn't happened in my 10 years of association with woodland, but this time what i to do? to whom i have to approach for getting remedy? I have chapels also. which is nice. i feel there is a serious quality problem in this shoe.i hope so you will understand my problem. i don't have a bill. please help me in this regard.

This has reference to the above said and i would like to bring to your kind notice that, i had pruchased one no. of shoe tentatively on 3rd week (or) 4th week of August 2008 in chennai(Madras).

I have been using this shoe only for certain important occassions, but in such situation i found the bottom of healing side and sole side started coming out but at that point of time i did nid not take it serieous, Due to my urgent needful i went to my nearest shoe clinic and shown my shoe then the technician put some nails as well as applied some pasting acoss the damaged portion by this way my urgent needful solved.

But the above said surgery not withstanding even for a week. Thereafter i went to the Purchased(Vendor) location in Chennai(Adyar) and i explained about the behaviours of shoes then Vendor had sent my shoe for service (approx: 15 days taken out for service).

But again the wondering is Vendor applied surgery also was supporting me for a week again shoe behaviour is same as above.

Once again i went to the purchased location in chennai(Adyar) and i had shown to one gentle man Mr. Saravanan and explained and i made a request and then he talked with his area sales manager and then they replied to me that, they are help less in this regard and alos i was informed by them to make a mail to customer care.

Kindly note note that, it is my hard earned money and i could not tolerate to see such a behaviours having spent such a huge money.

Hence kindly consider the above situation and do the need ful without any cost impliction in this regard. Since i trust about woodland shoes.

Your immediate action will make me comfort.

i purchased woodland sandals from jalandhar's woodland showroom on 5th january, 2011 and within 3 months their sole got worn out i.e one of the sandal's sole got cracked. Due to which i claimed it for repairing both at jalandhar nd delhi as they are in warranty period and now they are sayin ""they cant be repaired therefore, u can take 50% of the amount""...

It is best to buy any cheap local brand that would last for anywhere between 6 months to a year. One can easily buy a couple of those and use them for a few years for the money that would otherwise be spent on an expensive good-for-nothing branded pair. The days of good quality and durability are gone. These days it is all "use and throw". Why the premium then?

Please pay attention to this matter and take correct Action
