[Resolved] Dewan Housing Finance Corporation [DHFL] — application no. 01612358 : emi, pre-emi and processing fees deducted from my bank account but not refunded even after the loan was declined | |||
I had applied for a home loan (In the last week of september, 2017) with dhfl which was approved (On oct 31) and even the pre-emi (On 3rd nov.) and first emi (On nov 14) got deducted from my bank account. And then there was a communication on nov 28 from dhfl that my loan has been declined. How could a loan which was already approved and for which dhfl was deducting the emi can suddenly be declined without any proper communication of the reason? This was unjust and irresponsible attitude of dhfl and executives of the branch which impacted my physical and mental health. On 5th dec 2017, i also visited dhfl gurgaon branch and met pramod sharma and sagar kumar to discuss the matter. Mr. Sagar told me that the home loan was rejected due to some company policy, etc. He also asked me to write a latter (Enclosed for your reference) for refunding the emi, pre-emi and processing fee and told me that they will refund emi, etc. Within 10 days but it has been more than 19 days since then and i am still waiting for the refund amount to be credited to my bank account. I was highly disappointed by the way dhfl and its executives had dealt with me. My entire down payment amount was blocked and i was on the verge of losing it because of the irresponsible behavior and conduct of dhfl. So to buy the property i had to apply for personal loan at 10.99 interest rate which was around 2 percent higher than the home loan interest rate offered by dhfl. The following amount which was paid to dhfl but never refunded even after cancelling my home loan application: - total amount paid to dhfl by cheque: rs. 51, 198.00 (Dhfl statement and hdfc bank are enclosed) - total amount paid to dhfl in cash : rs. 6, 900.00 Was this information helpful? | |||
