Fashionothon Online — Misleading customer by promising free gift | |||||
On 25th August I got a call from sales executive of Fashionothon company, Mr. Amit. He said that because you are a frequent purchaser from websites like flipkart and amazon our company has identified you and we would like to give you an offer whereby if you make a purhcase of Puma combo worth 5, 299/- you will get an assured gift. I told him I don't have time right now please call later. He called again and pushed very hard to make me buy. He said that as per my "ranking" I will get a Samsung 40 inch LED TV. When I said I don't believe in your offer, he made me speak to his senior Mr. Pankaj. Mr. Pankaj convinced me that the company is genuine and the offer also. I asked him to send me a mail. He sent me a mail with the Puma combo and last line of the e-mail was - "Assured Gifts : Samsung 40 Inch Led, Apple iphone 6, Sun Pandant & earrings, silver Jewellary, nikon DSLR Camera" I hesitated in making the purchase still but I kept on getting calls from the company. An even more senior employee spoke to me and gave me some story about how they want to be the next Flipkart. Finally I made the purchase on 25th August. Order number - 3874. My order (which was supposed to arrive within 3 days) arrived on 2nd September without any assured gift (They had promised earlier that the gift will arrive with the package). When I called the company, their executive Ms. Geeta said it will be shipped soon. I kept on following up for 20 days and every time the response was similar that it will be shipped soon. Finally the free gift arrived on 30th September. It was a smart watch. I had bought the exact same smart watch on Amazon for 219 Rs one week back!!! I also forgot to mention that I got calls from the company after making the purchase that they have some scheme for Renault car etc. I flatly refused to participate in the scheme. All in all a very bad experience and the company is clearly a bogus/ fraud company. Was this information helpful? | |||||
