FastWay Transmission — local cable operator refuses to refund stb security deposit | |||
Last year, in november, we had acquired a cable connection from mr. Anand. At the time of acquiring the connection, we had been charged rs. 2000 which was described as rs. 1500 for stb security fees, rs. 300 for first month cable rent and 200 for installation and cable (22 metres). Unofficially i asked anand to cancel cable services in november and inquired what amount we would get back for the stb security fee, he said nothing. I was surprised as i had enquired from the fastway customer service and according to them i should have been getting a full refund if stb was returned/service cancelled within first year. Anyhow, early december i filed a complaint via email to fastway transmission and i officially asked mr. Anand to cancel our cable services and refund the correct amount for the stb security fee. I had been dealing with fastway customer service for nearly 3 weeks trying to get this resolved. Although the service reps have been polite and trying their best to get this resolved, it seems like we have reached a dead end as the local operator anand, keeps lying even to his own company when they contact him and ask him to try and find a resolution for this problem. The first lie anand told the service reps was that we had not paid 2 months bill. I sent the last 2 months bills via email, then he changed the accusation to "we used 100 metres cable to give them connection" to one representative and 70 metres to another representative. I measured the wire and turned out the wire was merely 22 metres, i sent this measurement image to fastway via email again, after few days the service rep called me on 19th dec and said the operator is saying i have refused to accept even rs. 900 as a compensation, in reality i have not heard from the operator anand since dec 12 when he told me "to do whatever i can, i will not get a single rupee" As you can see even fastway service is unable to do anything about this rogue egoistic operator who constantly lies, please help to resolve this asap.
