This is with extreme dissatisfaction I am forced to draft a mail to you.
I had purchased two flight tickets (9626 INR) from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore for 9th March 2021, but unfortunately had to cancel them owing to my medical condition (documents and reports have already been shared with Happyeasygo) where doctors advised me not to travel.
After several phone calls and e-mails I was intimated by Happyeasygo that airline is not agreeing for refund, but I was provided with an option of “Credit Shell” which means I can reschedule my flight for the same destination, with the same passengers and I just have to pay the fare difference, if any.
However, while trying to book the tickets in the month of Dec.21 via the reschedule option, I was informed by Happyeasygo executive that there are no flights available for the requested date (which I could see that the said flight was available on the said date).
Then Happyeasygo informed me that the airline has agreed for a refund which I opted for on 5th Dec.21 following instructions from Happyeasygo but to my surprise it was not a full refund and the refund amount was a mere 196 INR.
Now, I feel cheated as a customer by being an Elite class member and while trying to get my money back into my account since the past 10 months even after submitting all the valid documents as requested by Happyeasygo. Trust me, I never had any refund issues with apps like Makemytrip, Goibibo, Paytm, etc.
I have even spoken to the airline carrier and they divert me to Happyeasygo stating they are helpless as the tickets are booked through third party.
Believe me, if am not going to get a full refund as soon as possible in my bank account, then I will discontinue my association with Happyeasy and will always consider some other app. while booking flight tickets and hotels.
