Hathway Cable & Datacom — Not giving static IP address for cctv camera functioning | |||||
My account number is 932560. For more than a year we have been using Hathway broadband connection. Last year we had installed cctv camera for which we had paid extra to Hathway to buy the static IP address. As i understand we need to renew the static IP address and are ready to pay for it. However no one in the call centre has any knowledge about this. Besides they are very conviniently saying we cannot provide static IP address anymore. Its been more than a month my cameras are not working and we are not getting any response whatsoever from Hathway team how to make this work. Was this information helpful? | |||||

Hello, I'm Deepak from Chennai. Using HATHWAY for past 3 months My ID is [protected]. On 26th June 2018, Got a call from HATHWAY person stating that, if we pay 3 months rent in advance, they will provide one Free CCTV camera for free with free installation within 48 hours from payment date. Now its almost one week no one turned back and also contacted customer care and they daily creating one job ID for this and at-last today they asked me to get refund else surrender the connection. This is totally fraud business by HATHWAY like 250/- Smart phone fraud, 500/- DTH from reliance like this 3 months advance for one free CCTV. This should be published in all public forums, So please all forward this in WHATSAPP, FACEBOOK and TWITTER

I am a customer with about 3 yrs of account usage
This was initiated by my friend 3 yrs ago and carry forwarded to me within a year.
I have been personally using this account for about 2 years now.
Due to tax claim, I'm in a state to continue the account with my name.
Thus raised a request to change the name.
One of the hathway executive suggested that name cannot be changed within friends, thus asked me to move to new account.
I asked her to confirm that, will i be able to continue with same 471 plan, she confirmed the same from 3rd month. I personally have proof for this(Call recording)
So moved to new account
But after three months, i have paid 471, but account was not activated. When connected to same executive she adviced to pay excess amount, only then you will be eligible to continue.
Thus raised a request to close all accounts and planned to move to jio fiber where i can get better assistance than here.
But i had a call from another executive saying that, no need to move will activate the old account, and initiate a name change and also will transfer the paid amount of 471 to old one.
I agreed to all the decisions made by them and i was been played like a football for each one's profit.
Now I'm in loss of around 871(400rs for deposit of new account and 471 plan).
My account is still not activated.
Name hasn't changed yet.
I'm getting calls that i have to 600 to activate the account.
This seem to be a total scam
Nothing has been done from their end but i end up in a loss.
All the employees in this broadband has trained to scratch out the money from consumers in all possible formats.
