Hathway — Poor Broadband Service - Frequent Disconnection

I'm having the worst internet service experience ever in my entire existence on this planet earth and that's in comparison to dial up connection back in the old days. Hathway offers 50 Mbps speeds unlimited @ 3k for 3 months. Once you pay the amount you are screwed cos any issues in the service then you just have to live with it cos the plan is pre paid and non-refundable. What they also don't tell you is that upload speeds are capped at 9 Mbps. My Airtel 4g can go upto 11 Mbps.

Anyways, the only reason I got Hathway was due to the lockdown that happened in March 2020 and my office shifted to work from home. I had get a connection with a day and Hathway was the only option available at the time in building.

Initially the service was ok other than the poor upload speeds. But my work was goin on smoothly.

But within a few months I started facing random disconnections, slow speeds every now and then. But it didn't pain that much cos I would raise a ticket on their app and it would get resolved. The problem would would come back but it would be in weeks time but it wasn't affecting my work too much. It was bearable.

But since September this year, I have been facing frequent disconnections.it so bad that when I am presenting on teams, the call would get disconnected and disturb th whole flow of my presentation. It started happening a lot and it affected my performance at work.

Unlike previous times, the Hathway technicians are clueless on how to fix the problem. After raising numerous tickets on their app and calling their customer support, a technician came twice, checked the lights are stable on the router and said the problem is fixed. But with half hour after he leaves, the disconnection start happening again. He seems to have no clue how to fix the problem. Just tells me restart the router.

I have raised so many tickets, call the customer so many times.l, that they have stopped taking my problem seriously. They just keep giving me the standard answer that my problem will resolved with 24 hours.

My last ticket was raised in 10th of October, and it's 22 nd now and the problem is still to be fixed. There is no option for refund also.

I guess I will have to live with this utterly poor service till my 3 months expire. Currently working off my Airtel 4G hotspot which way more reliable than Hathaway stupid broadband service. Will switch to Airtel fibre and hopefully the experience will be better.
