HDFC Bank — charged 590 rs for issuance of debit card

I just opened the new account in HDFC, solely for the purpose o[censored]pcoming personal loan because I believed that they are professional and reliable and they shattered my wrong assumptions by greeting me with the debit card issuance charges, that too 590 rs.

To amount was deducted today i.e 7th August, and I did not even receive a text message regarding that, I had to figure it out myself.

I have/had accounts in 6 other banks and none of them charged any fee, that too for ZERO balance account but here they charged me.

It's very disappointing and was not expected from the HDFC bank.

On speaking to the staff they told that every bank charges, I don't know if they are still in 2009, because I haven't been charged for debit card ever, neither was I informed about these charges.

As I mentioned above and to the staff while opening the account that I solely opened this account for an upcoming personal loan based on the trust.

I expect the refund of the amount as it is not logical and these kinds for charges makes me reluctant towards trusting the bank.
