Dear indians,
Hdfc bank has given me the worst experience among any so far. Its been nearly a month i have been facing stress.
Somewhere in june i got a credit card bill of nearly 40k, the transactions that sums to this amount has been performed without my authorization and participation, nor any form of alerts was received. Hence i call up and put the transactions in dispute and fill up the card dispute forms among other formalities and the card was locked. Now, the customer care centre did not inform me about the auto pay feature in my account for the credit card.
This month they took out nearly 18k without notifying me, hence wiping out my bank account to pay these fraud disputed bills.
I call them up, and i came to know that the case has not been resolved and 18k was removed as auto-pay for this disputed bill and that once the case is resolve i'll be refunded and the usual "sorry for your inconvenience"
I call them up, again, and i came to know that the dispute case was closed and 18k was not in my favor hence it was removed it and the usual "sorry for your inconvenience"
I am frustrated beyond words right now, firstly for not notifying me about any developments taking place. Second the customer care is simply useless, everyone has different responses.
Finally to sum it up: first the fraud takes place, then the bank uses my money to pay off the fraud without notifying me, next they tell me that my case is closed.
I feel cheated.
How can i ever trust this bank?
What kind of a service is this @hdfc?
