HDFC Bank — Complaint Regarding Unjustified Blocking of My Bank Account and Non-Resolution for Over One Month

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against [Bank Name], regarding the unlawful and prolonged blocking of my savings account (Account Number: [protected]) for more than one month and 10 visits and daily Multiple calls. despite complete clarification from all concerned parties.

Details of the issue :
my account was suddenly blocked by the bank after a complaint was raised by a third party regarding a transaction that was mistakenly sent to my account by that individual. I immediately cooperated with the bank and provided all necessary explanations.

Furthermore, the individual who raised the complaint has officially emailed my branch manager, clearly stating that the complaint was raised in error. A copy of this email has been provided to the branch. Despite this, the bank has not unblocked my account and no resolution has been provided.

Consequences I Am Suffering

Due to the bank’s inaction and negligence, I am facing extremely serious difficulties:

My salary has not been credited for more than a month.

My EMIs are getting bounced, resulting in penalties.

My CIBIL score is being negatively affected, causing long-term financial damage.

I am unable to access my own hard-earned money, creating mental stress and hardship.

Despite multiple follow-ups with the branch, I have received no clear timeline or action.

Bank’s Failure

The bank has failed to:

Take any further action in unblocking the account

Complete the verification process within a reasonable time.

Consider the written clarification from the complainant.

Provide any official status update or justification for the delay.

Uphold RBI guidelines regarding consumer protection and timely grievance resolution.

Request for Immediate Intervention

I request the Consumer Forum / Banking Ombudsman to kindly intervene and direct the bank to:

Immediately unblock my account and restore full access.

Provide a written explanation for the unjustified delay.

Reverse all penalties and protect my CIBIL score which has been damaged due to the bank’s inaction.

Take necessary action against the bank for negligence and mental harassment.

I am attaching the following documents for your reference:

Copy of the complainant’s email admitting the mistake

I request you to treat this matter as urgent as my financial stability is being severely affected due to no fault of mine.
